Hello,

I am currently in the US. I am an Indian citizen. I got my H1-B approved by the US government. I have to get it stamped at an American embassy. I want to go to UK to get my work visa stamped by the American embassy in UK. How should i proceed? What type of UK visa would I be needing to enter UK under this condition?

Also, my sister and her family stay in UK. So I would like to stay with them for 1-2 weeks and fly back to the USA. That is the reason I am choosing US embassy in UK. So that I can get my visa stamped and visit the family. Two tasks in 1 trip. I plan to do this in April-2015. I have more questions.

If this is not the correct place to ask these questions, please provide me a link for the correct place.

Thanks.

Visitor Visa.

You might want to consider your options in case you get stuck in AP.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Some countries will only do visa stamping for citizens or permanent residents, you should check if the UK is one of them. You can email the embassy or consulate directly to ask.
