I mailed the I29F on 5/23/14 and received an email confirmation from the Texas Lockbox on 5/29/14 stating that my application was accepted. It was forwarded to the Texas Service Center and on about 6/03 I received the NOA1.

On 6/1/14 my case was updated stating that the Alien Registration Number has been assigned.

On 8/11/14 (yesterday) I received an update on my case that it was transferred to my local USCIS office for further processing. I called the automated system and it says that my application was forwarded to Mesquite, Texas. I guess now I'm waiting for a mailed notice to confirm that. I've been unable to find processing times for that location so not really sure, but hopeful :)

For real? It told you Mesquite? But your info says you don't live in Texas. So why would it go from TSC to Mesquite, Texas? You say forwarded there..did you mean transferred? This is bizarre.

Yea, actually I just called the customer service number again (to be certain) and they said it was Transferred to Mesquite, Texas (not forwarded). It says I should receive the transfer notice within 30 days. The message states that the center will be processing my case further and will notify me about my case status or if additional information is required.

And I live in Massachusetts so I was expecting it to be someplace like Vermont.

When I googled "USCIS Mesquite, Texas" it came up with an office that handles asylum cases. This is getting so confusing!

Received NOA1 on 04/02/2014. I'm from MA (not sure if location has anything to do with who was chosen for transfers) and my fiancée is from Brazil. Checked my status online at the USCIS website and got this notice: On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

We are hoping for a CSC transfer or a reopening of the VSC for those on the east coast. Good luck to us all! Stay positive and don't get too excited. We are all going to get approved eventually.

I know right? So strange. (or at least I hope not!)

Unless it has been transferred but it just hasn't actually left Texas yet so that is the address still shown on file? I'm very confused.

This is interesting !

NOA 1 May 8 th

Notice of transfer August 8th no text/email

Notice of transfer August 11 no text /email

And it looks like there are several of us that have gotten this!!

Initial Review

On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

That's what I was thinking. Because apparently you get three notices. One that your electronic file has been transferred (the first transfer notice we got), two that they're now transferring your actual file (second transfer notice), three when it gets to it's transferred office. But who knows lol

Hi guys!

We just received our NOA2 from TSC 2 weeks ago after almost 180 days  , the letter showed their address in Mesquite, TX.

Philippians 4: 6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
