I am at 18 months and still not done with NVC. I think Amanda is the one with the longest wait, 20 months.

18 MONTHS!? :wow: 20 MONTHS!?

Well, I'm glad to see that you got to pay the AOS and IV fees at the same time because you have a lawyer.

So you're now waiting for a CC. Me too! I really hope we both get a CC next month! :) Fingers crossed! :star:

Dear friends,

After reading hundred times, I finally send my AOS package. Hopefully it is already scaned, I calculated at August 15th. My only concern is.... I might be getting a checklist for my I864EZ. I am qualifying to fill up this particular form, but my only question is, I am on the border of income line (25k to be exact and my family size is 3). Does anyone know weather I should prepare for joint sponser? Or I should be fine. I am making way more then last year.

Can't go through 60 day waiting period again.

Pls help.

I think considering how long everything is taking if anyone's thing is on the way to be shipped to NVC, I would ship my copies of AOS and IV package prior to being requested to i can take a head start and get in line. Yes, without cover page but that is just me!!! I would put my USCIS # on the cover page until you get your case #!!!

Hi

on part 5 question 18 "My individual annual income is currently:"

Did you do your math what your income will be ? based on your pay stubs??

If you are making way more then last year and provided your recent pay stubs you should be fine. But the final decision will be made by the Embassy.

Thanks tino,

But I filed I864EZ, dont remember having that question. I did submitted my last six months of pay stubs until July, where I have reached 25k already.

Will this be enough? I have missed three months of work last year because of traveling and marriage and all the other stuffs. But this year hopefully no distractions of any kind.

Usually by false checklist, or calling. You won't receive an e-mail from them saying they've been approved.. only for case complete, false checklist, or real checklist. Best advise you to call two-three times a week to see if they have reviewed your file and if it was accepted or not.

Thanks JSumner86.

I received a checklist on friday saying my IV application wasn't sent it, which online it shows as complete. I called my lawyer and he was saying that there are a lot of false checklists going out and not to worry because the IV (DS 260) has been completed back in June.

Perhaps I should call tomorrow and find out what the status is.

you're papers will probably get lost with the thousands of mail packages received everyday at the NVC and then you'll either have to wait an extra 60 days for them to figure out where your mail actually goes or they will say they lost them and you will have to obtain all new originals ( need I say another needless delay) . Go ahead and take the chance if that is what you want to do and you really think you'll be ahead of the game but please do keep everyone posted..

And just think of how many others do the same thing and just think of the huge file room full of lost mail without the correct coversheet and NVC case number. And how many people do you think they assign to figure out where those lost papers go? With the huge backlog of people who follow the directions.... I'd say not many.

Do you mind filling out your timeline/signature of when documents were sent to NVC and such? :). Thanks! Call Monday to see what that status is. Usually you can tell when there is a case complete when the AOS payment goes from PAID to N/A!
