People Who Call Obama Worst President Since Second World War Also Blame Him for Starting It

WASHINGTON — A new poll released Wednesday revealed that people rank President Barack Obama as the worst President since the Second World War, and also blame him for starting the Second World War.

While the respondents slammed the President for his handling of the economy, Iraq, and a host of other issues, his perceived role as the primary cause of the Second World War was the biggest drag on his numbers.

Even more troubling, when compared to the three leaders of the Axis powers during that war, President Obama polled at the bottom of the list, finishing far behind Emperor Hirohito of Japan.

“Fair or not, the American people hold the President responsible for starting the Second World War,” Davis Logsdon, a political-science professor at the University of Minnesota, said. “If the President hasn’t gotten his version of the story out, there’s only one person to blame for that: Barack Obama.”

In other poll results, the most popular President in the survey was Ronald Reagan, widely credited with ending the Second World War.

KIEV, Ukraine — A YouTube video surfaced Thursday that Ukrainian security officials say includes a phone call between a pro-Russian rebel leader and a Russian intelligence agent discussing the shoot-down of a plane.

The beginning of the audio is reportedly between Igor Bezler, a pro-Russian rebel leader, and Vasili Geranin, a man Ukraine security officials say is a Russian intelligence agent. In the first line, Bezler allegedly says "We have just shot down a plane." (This line can also be translated to "We have seen a plane shot down," but then both translations says "cossacks" —Russian volunteers—from Chernukhino road block shot it down.)

The second half of the audio is between two unidentified men, named "Greek" and "Major."

According to a transcription of the video, provided by the Kyiv Post, the rebel tells the Russian intelligence, “We have just shot down a plane.” Later in the tape, one rebel, Greek, asks if there are weapons on board. Major responds: “Absolutely nothing. Civilian items, medicinal stuff, towels, toilet paper.”

“Are there any documents?” Greek asks the other. “Yes. Of an Indonesian student from Thompson University. .”

After examining the site of the plane the terrorists come to the conclusion that they have shot down a civilian plane. The next part of the conversation took place about 40 minutes later.

“Major”

: These are Chernukhin folks shot down the plane. From the Chernukhin check point. Those cossacks who are based in Chernukhino.

“Greek”

: Yes, Major.

: The plane fell apart in the air. In the area of Petropavlovskaya mine. The first “200” (code word for dead person). We have found the first “200”. A Civilian.

In a final phone call, included later in the recording, a rebel checks in with a Cossack commander.

: Regarding this plane that was downed in the Snizhne-Torez area. It turned out to be a passenger aircraft. It fell near Grabovo. A lot of bodies of women and children. Now the Cossacks are looking at all that.

Rebel

: The TV said it was AN-26. A Ukrainian cargo plane. But Malaysia Airlines is written on it. What was it doing on Ukraine’s territory?

Cossack commander

: It means they wanted to bring some spies to us. them. They should not fly, we are at war here.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, killing all 295 people on board. The plane was reportedly shot down in the embattled area, which for months has been the epicenter of conflict between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists.

If it is confirmed that the rebels shot down the plane, they did not use a man-portable SAM. They just don't have the range to hit a target six miles up, traveling at 500 knots.

If this was done from the ground, it was done with a fixed, or vehicle-mounted, radar-guided SAM. And it was no accident. The plane was above closed airspace, clear by 1000 feet, on a recognised flight path. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence would know it was no military flight. Heck, the Flightradar 24 app for the iPhone will tell you the flight number and aircraft type of a plane almost anywhere in the world.

If it turns out that the Russians supplied the missile to the rebels, Putin is in deep trouble. The rebels already are. This may kill off any future Russian military aid. Putin can't afford to be linked to the mass murder of defenseless foreign nationals.

If this plane was shot down by terrorists using missiles supplied by Russia I expect a full NATO response in the region.
