Don't drive and surf at the same time, and have a safe trip.

Hey folks... if you come across an online buzz about a blue alien flashing through I-94, don't panic. It would be just Saylin in her Prius.

Don't worry, I don't drive and text, so I definitely wouldn't check my email

And hehe. Made it safely in my Prius ;) Got like 50 mpg on average too :D

Hey! You'll be in my town!!

Check your in box - I sent you some recommendations of cool digs around town!

Thanks, it's nice to be back!! :) If you see a blue Prius from North Dakota, it might possibly be me ;)

I got it!

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooo!

Safe journey and have loads of fun. :D

Hehe :P

Thanks though! ^_^

Hi AustinCanada

I am so pleased to see that you have FINALLY got you ziV invoice. I feel like I have been waiting with you. One step nearer ........

Thanks! I know FINALLY is the right word to describe it! I'm already exhausted! Wait! there is more? I'm not done yet?

Congratulations!!! (what a silly thing to congratulate somebody on, giving their money to the government LOL)

I'll be crossing my fingers for you that all goes well and no checklists!

I know it's a silly thing to congratulate anyone! You usually want to delay paying money to the government as long as possible (such as paying income tax), but in this case you want to pay it as soon as possible (unless you like this NVC thread so much and you want to hang around here longer)!

Just an update:

Today is 30 business since DS-261 was submitted, My hubby called NVC tonight and requested to speak with a supervisor. After been put on hold for a very long time, the supervisor told him that he will look into our DS-261 and the IV bill will be unlock on Monday or latest by Tuesday. The supervisor said it is fine and ok if we send in the IV package with the AOS barcode sheet. Am just going to wait till Tuesday to see if the supervisor unclocks the IV bill.

I finally received the IV fee invoice email and paid the IV fee! I had waited for 28 darn business days. :dead:

I'm sending my IV package next Monday. I hope I don't receive a checklist! So scary! I'm peeing in my pants!

Since I had 28 business days to prepare for the IV package, I've revised my IV cover letter 3-4 times. I've decided to include documents they MIGHT need. For example, I'm sending them my original marriage certificate AND certified copy JUST IN CASE my reviewer doesn't like one of them.

Getting a checklist on the AOS package is okay since it won't change your timeline since we have to wait for up to 30 business days for the IV fee invoice. However, getting a checklist on the IV package is a crime since it'll delay the application timeline by 2 months! OMG! Fingers crossed! :star:

Finally!!! Yay!!!! You will be fine, you are very calm, collected and had lots of time to review what you are sending, so a checklist is unlikely.

Ok I am finally ready to send off my I-864 affidavit of support package. I have delayed it by a week waiting for my stupid tax transcript to come, it's been a month already so I've decided to stop waiting and just send copies of my return instead. (Beyond frustrated that I can't just download it since my address is outside the USA)

I had the same darn problem (couldn't download mine because of a foreign address).

I sent in AoS using a copy of my return. Keep an eye on my posts...if I get a checklist for the return, you'll know. I did include a letter that stated emphatically I will have transcripts ready at interview and they were not yet available at time of mailing.

Good luck! (i'm not ep so I can't answer your other questions).

I am an instant-gratification kind of person, so things like this KILL me!!!

Hello, again everyone! Just checking in after my weekly call to NVC and it appears that they're more or less randomly changing dates on "mail received". Last week when I called they said they had mail logged in on june 10th or 11th and the 25th. Now they say that they have mail received on june 24th and July 4th. Neither of the dates is the same as before... Just awesome.

On the plus side, I had a bit of a health scare this past couple of weeks but it turned out to be nothing. So that's a gigantic relief! I had visions of having gone through all of this and then having to quit the process while I had surgery or treatment in Canada.

So sorry to hear about your health scare... I know what you mean, I too have this constant fear that I'll come down with some crazy disease right AFTER we leave the safety net of the Canadian healthcare system. I'm so busy reading about immigration all the time I haven't even started looking into Obamacare  Glad to hear everything turned out to be okay

So it was a case complete!! As of July 17! Before everyone asks, last docs scanned June 6th :)

Thanks a bunch everyone!

Congratulations!!!

As I just said on the August Interview thread:

You need a lawyer for the USCIS stage and a psychiatrist for the NVC stage, to come through both unscathed.

Thanks for your reply! I'm glad I'm not the only one who had issues with the downloading transcripts... the first 83 times I tried I thought I must be doing something wrong, it took a lot of searching to find out the foreign address is what causes the issue. That's a great idea about watching your posts, I just put your timeline in my watch list

(I just learned how to do the little smileys... so proud of myself :dancing: )

Soloenta! No wonder I had this feeling we were a match made in Heaven!

DNR for NVC is right!

And thanks jsumner86 and Soloenta for your support in my rash behavior! I actually read through everything on NVC website and all the emails I got and it clearly says to wait until you pay the IV fee and it says "paid" on the website before you send the IV package, but I could't see that anywhere for the AOS. So, I did it! If someone else sees that somewhere, let me know so I can have something else to worry about!

:thumbs:Same here Molly :D hehehee how sweet is this.

Nooooooooooooooooo don't worry all will be well you'll see. :D. (F)(L)(F)
