Our IV package was scanned on the 29th, hopefully it'll be our turn tomorrow or the next day

Thank you. I guess we are eleigible for I864EZ but he said he will just change his answer in Part 6 of I864. He only has his 2011 2012 2013 1040a, his paystub and his employment letter. Do you think he still need to pass his w2 and 1099 as his supporting documents or his 1040a will be enough?

OK, I was finally able to fill out and submit DS-261 today. I still can't pay the AoS fee but the error message has now changed to

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

I know that this means that they are probably getting it ready to pay. Any idea how much longer I should expect it to take based on this information?

Also, I printed the receipt that has barcodes on it and the confirmation number after submitting the DS-261. Is this the barcode cover sheet or is that something I get after paying the IV fee? I thought it was after paying IV so is there anything I need to do with the DS-261 confirmation sheet or is it just for my records?

I had that message for about 1-2 days tops. If it's still like that on Thursday, I would call NVC to check in. You will get the barcode cover sheet after paying the AOS fee. Then there is a separate one after you pay the IV fee. The DS-261 confirmation is for your records. Don't click on the DS-261 again after submitting!! I'm sure you've read it here already, but doing so set me back 10+ days of waiting.

I decided I better chime in if I'm just going to sit here waiting for an eternity.

Submitted the DS-261 on May 20th, then opened it again to re-print the confirmation, but had to go all the way through it, although I did not change any information. According to NVC, it was officially submitted May 29th and still waiting for IV fee. AOS docs scanned in June 3rd so hopefully I will hear something about one of these this week!

I just have to say that I would have been lost without this website. I copied and pasted Saylin's wiki and separated it into word docs and added my own notes.... then printed them out and they're taped up on my kitchen wall as a giant checklist. But the good kind of checklist where things are getting done, not the bad kind. Also, Bdrew's blog and now BOS_LHR's blog.... I've had so many laughs and cries over these. My family and friends just don't get it like you guys do. Here's to hoping NVC picks up the pace! Thank you everybody!

Yea, I read about a few people re-submitting DS-261 and it causing delays. It currently says completed on the site so I am not going to touch it again. I will only click the payment portal link from this point on.

It really sucks that NVC is so backed up now. I am really hoping we can get an interview before October 29th because that is the last day I can legally stay in Japan since my job ends at the end of this month. I want to go with my wife to her interview and go back to Chicago together. Hopefully it works out. Good luck everyone.

I don't know what day the NVC have reached so far .. last I heard was a CC for scanned packages on 22nd .. that was 7 days ago

Maybe they reached cases scanned on 29th or 30th .. maybe not sure

Hi all

Third month on NVC thread and really hoping for a Case complete in July and a September interview.

Congratulations to all those Case Completes yesterday.

I am checking out for 12 days. Taxi arrives at 4.45 tomorrow morning to take children and I to airport. Flying to Sydney. Meeting Andy and then all flying up to Queensland for a holiday.

I know that there will be much good news when I next check in. Will probably take me a couple of days to catch up on the 100 plus pages.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Of course, I know I will be sitting on that beach and hitting that refresh button waiting for my false checklist!!!!!
