Why does hubs leave buying things, like clothes, to the last minute? I think I may go get him some stuff, so all he needs is some shoes, but I hate buying clothes without trying them on. However, he's a tall skinny man, and it's the south. Anything I get is bound to be better than walmart. (He has suddenly become a pall bearer. )

You got his measurements? Should get something passable with that.

He doesn't own a suit?

If not, invest on one quick!!

The man is from Alabama, and none of his family have money. The last suit he wore was either his military dress (which he can no longer wear) or the tux for his first wedding. We brought dress pants, but they're dark gray and he wants to match the other pallbearers. So a pair of black slacks and black polo will work. Hr needs black socks and shoes, but he will have to pick up the shoes. I'll go get the pants etc as soon as rush hour is over.

Oh dear! Yeah I know a lot of guys who put off clothes shopping until the last minute.

Tell him to get a suit when he has the time. When you hit your 40s the chances of being invited to a funeral increase dramatically I believe.

Here in Japan many males invest in an often cheap suit. For weddings they wear it with a white tie, and for funerals they wear it with a black tie.

Anyways, I don't think his friend's family will be doing a fashion check, and will appreciate his attendance.

Just get him prepared for the next time ( and make sure he keeps his waistline;))
