When I completed the form I-129 I wrote the incorrect sir name for my fiance's daughter. I assumed her last name was the same as my fiance's but she took her fathers sir name. We got it correct on the DS160. Is this a big deal?

I don't think so. Just bring all papers regarding her real name such as birth certificate, etc. People made mistake when filled out forms. For such mistake I do not think CO at the embassy would think you and your fiancée are trying to misrepresented documents. Good luck for the interview.

I didn't think it would be a big deal but my fiance is nervous about it. She doesn't want to risk anything. Thanks for the reply.

All she needs to do is bring all papers regarding her daughter's real name. The embassy needs to see that. And she does not have to worry. I made mistake on my DS-160 form as well and never came up during my interview even though the information there slightly different from the other forms. My K-1 visa was approved anyway. Ask her to relax and prepare for her interview.

Be sure that you filed the correct petition.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I am kind of in the same boat as you. I misspelled 2 of my fiancees children's names (off by 1 letter on each) and I also added an extra "T" on the end of my fiancees name ... all on the I129F form. I corrected my fiancees name when I filled out the DS-160 form, but had the children's names still misspelled. It was not until after we got an interview date and my fiancee was sent her appointment letter that she noticed that her children's names were misspelled. Not only that ... 2 of her children's DOB was off by 1 year (one had an extra year added and the other subtracted a year).

Since it was a few mistakes, I created a new DS-160 and based on research that I read online (other than VJ), I need to bring both confirmation pages of my DS-160 and everyone's birth certificates. So I'll see what happens during my interview in about 2 weeks.

Not a real big issue, When the CO asks at the interview be prepared to explain the  , he can correct things in the computer.
