So, you were put in the auto-expedite queue for petitioners residing abroad. Folks on VJ have been tracking it.

Gods I hope this means it's moving again (the living-abroad auto-expedite queue) as it died when DACA started and casefiles were sent to NBC then routed to the local offices. Man - what a fiasco !!! SuperDuper if this queue is alive again ! Yay ! Double Yay !

[op - apologies for my exuberance - I don't excited much these days]

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi and sorry for asking, I'm not there yet but would like to know if it is mandatory to call NVC for get the case number. They don't send a letter or an email sending that information? I'm just curious. :)

Thanks

I did not call them...our NOA2 date was May 1, sent to NVC on May 6 and we had the letter from NVC dated May 16.

good luck!

Post Decision Activity

On June 5, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I checked my case tonight and saw the notice as above i noticed according tp the website timeline. My case skipped the stages of further evidence and testing and interview. So what does it mean.

Also how should i update my timeline.

It took less than a month since the time they received it until it was approved.

Your case did not skip any stages. Your petition was approved, not your visa.

It will now be forwarded to NVC for further processing and then you will have the interview. If approved then you will get the visa issued.

You should research the next steps in depth as it can become confusing at NVC.

Find the current NVC thread for input and feedback and post questions there as they arise.

Your baby is due in November, you will have time to make it if you get a decent interview date, sorry no expedites for a birth.

How soon you will get done with NVC depends on how well you understand the process and how proactive you are in sending your

documents.

Hopefully within 3 months or so you will have visa in hand.

You are so lucky to have the case number that soon..Our NOA2 was dated April 10, sent to NVC April 17, and until now, we haven't got any letter from NVC, been calling and sending emails also but I just got 1 reply and told me that they haven't had any records of receiving our papers and advised me to send the scanned copy of our NOA 2 which I did already..I still haven't got any reply until now..

Congratulations.

The next steps are important and is best to phone the NVC directly to understand the next steps.

I say no to this - as it's all covered up at

www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Sure - using a phone is important - but to rely on NVC - via telephone -- for the explanation of the next steps is

1. a waste of time and

2. specious

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I've seen it returning for the last couple of months. The thread tracking it is barely alive though, but there are some new updates to it from this year.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:

an update on this... NVC received the package on June 16. on June 23 they gave me the case and IIN number. But if i go to the website (https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx) To start filling out the DS-261 it says "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error."

What does it mean?

Thank you

Hello Darnell I did read it. I'm on step two and it says " This is currently taking around a week or so from the case number being assigned. Once it's available, fill it out..."

But it has been more than a week since the case was assigned and still not available.

cool - thanks for reading it.

NVC is lagged on everything. So check daily online, circa 8:30 PM or so, EST.

If you want to know more, find and read an NVC Monthly Thread in this sub-forum. That'll give you an idea of current timings on all of the timeticks for NVC Doc Intake and fee payment
