Me to I can't wait.

N-400 ( based on 5 years rule )

5/31/2012: sent the N-400 package

6/02/2014: package was delivered

6/02/2014: 90 day point (eligibility based on 5 years)

-------------: Receipt Date /Priority Date

-------------: Check Cashed

-------------: Notice Date

-------------: Biometrics letter mailed

-------------: Walk-In Biometrics

-------------: Biometrics appointment

-------------: In line for interview

-------------: Interview letter mailed

-------------: Interview appointment

-------------: Oath-taking (God-willing!)

I am going to send in my form soon. I'm filing N-400 based on 5 year rule.

Are there any other supporting documents I need to send with the form?

Also am a bit confused when it comes to filling in the form do I need to put NA on everything that I left blank?

example...the additional room to add other addresses or children

I have the new form with the bar code and I can't add the / to N/A it won't let me, so do I have to write that in by hand or is leaving it blank ok?

It just seems a bit tedious to do this. I would rather just leave it blank.

Thanks!

You don't have to wait for them to come in the mail.

If you have access to a PC and a Printer, you can print them online but you'll need to create an online account first.

For Part 12, just the usual signature.

Also, if you do write N/A by hand make sure you are using a pen with BLACK ink. Good luck!

Should be sending N-400 off in the next few days. So I should be a June filer!

I have a few concerns.

My green card expires in about nine months. Though, from reading everything, it appears that I don't need to renew my green card at this time.

The next concern is the timing of everything. I have a two week cruise planned for the fall (mid November). If everything is completed before the cruise, I understand that I can travel on a close loop cruise with just a Certificate of Naturalization. Though, that always worries me if I have to fly home from a port island or between ports it would require a passport.

If I everything isn't completed before the trip, I worry that I could miss an appointment notice. Or worse, an actual appointment.

I could wait a few months, but then I would perhaps have to renew my green card and then shortly after file the N-400. That is an extra $450 I don't really want to part with.

cestlaviecheri, are you applying on the basis of 3-year(marriage) or being a permanent resident for 5-years ?

if applying under the 3-year rule, then you may need to submit additional documents.

second stage: yes, I am applying based on 3yr marriage.

So, what kind of additional documents would I need to submit? is there a list on the USCIS web site. Couldn't find any articles regarding additional documents.

Thanks in advance.

Hi dioxide45,

Have you checked the processing times of your area? I guess that will help you decide.

If you apply now the worse that can happen is that you might have to reschedule your interview or oath ceremony and I'm not sure how much of a hassle that might be. But it might be better than waiting and having to renew your GC.

You can travel with your current passport and the certificate of Naturalization before getting your US passport, if that turns out to be the case.

Guys,

Quick question.....

I did not sent any joint tax doc with my application, but i sent child birth certificates and lease agreements and our company documentations with both of our names. Will the tax documents count as ground for not accepting my application? I did not send it because we never file togather, but yes i filled my taxse every year.
