please help with this question:

my co-join sponsor is helping to fill the I-864A, she is using her assets (car) and she don't have a tax return

and here comes the question

Q 11) Federal income tax information

Q 12) My Assets (complete if necessary)

will she fill just Q 12 because she is not working and have no tax information

thanks

No income isn't going to work well when her only asset is a car. Is this a member of the same household?

Why hasn't she filed taxes? It will be hard to use a car as an asset. Are you just using to make up the difference you are lacking which would mean 3 times the amount.

So how much are you lacking on the guideline?

Also is this her only car?

Is it paid off?

They would enter 0 for income and add an explanation why no income tax was reported.

As Debs was mentioning, using a car is not going to be easy. If it was an extra collector type car with an appraisal it might be viewed as an asset. But they might want to view this as a necessity and not something that can be liquidated if needed. Also a car can be gone tomorrow its in a crash. Generally cars are not seen as assets by people, but rather needs that continue to cost money.

It would appear you haven't yet carefully read the I-864 instructions that indicate what kind of assets can and cannot be counted. Her only car, will be disregarded. If you do not qualify as sponsor, it would be wise to find somebody who IS qualified and willing. You're wasting our time using an unemployed household member's car.

she is unemployed, her dad is the joint sponsor and she is the co-joint sponsor

she is included in her dad tax

she only have a car and paid off

we are looking for 15k more

An only car does not qualify to use as an asset. You really need to find a joint sponsor that meets the requirement. Yours is 15k short of the mark.
