Hey everyone,

me and my fiance are compiling some of the proof of having met in the last 2 years and are planning to include copies of tickets of my trips to the US, her trip to the UK and any trips we have taken together. Just a question about the type of ticket to send. As we make most of our travel plans online we both only have e-ticket reciepts, no paper tickets, boarding passes etc. Are e-ticket printouts acceptable? or do we have to contact the airline and get paper copies of the tickets?

Sorry if this is a really obsessive question!

Of course - they're proof.

I sent the itinerary for my last trip as proof.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

Aye...I agree with Bora...I sent e-tickets. They're all I've ever used. Worked for us. :)

We had e-tickets too, and that is what we sent with ours, we havent been approved yet but havent recieved an rfe or anything for them either, so i think its all good :)

If the e-ticket is all you have then send it. They really prefer boarding passes because an e-ticket does not show you really traveled. Everyone making trips to thier special person should make a habit of holding onto thier boarding passes. Still the E-Ticket is better than nothing.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.
10/12 Tickets for her to America. I am flying to JFK to meet her there. 12/15/07 We are married. One year and a day after filling original K-1
12/27 Filed for AOS, EAD & AP 1/3 Received all three NOA-1's 1/22 Biometrics 2/27 EAD & AP received 4/12 Interview
5/19/08 RFE for physical that she should not have needed. 5/28 New physical ($ 250.00 wasted) 6/23 Green Card received
4/22/10 Filed for Removal of Contitions. 6/25 10 Year Green Card received Nov, 2014 Citizenship ceremony. Our journey is complete.

Probably a stupid question but do I need both boarding passes for my trip to see my fiance? At the time when we were together we were not engaged and facing this process so I wasn't so meticulous in saving papers. I was digging around and found the boarding pass from my trip TO Kathmandu, but can't find the one FROM Kathmandu - will this be a problem? I have lots of other evidence - ATM receipt, photos(probably will be 4-5), restaurant receipts, admission receipts, also my Nepal visa.

The boarding pass to there shows you went there. Hopefully they can figure out on thier own that you must have come back. Both are better but some are better than none. It is easy to make little mistakes. When I first visited my Fiancee the hotel asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no. That was dumb. I usually try to show the more important boarding passes. I don't worry too much about my Pittsburgh JFK flight as I do my flights to and in Russia.

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I think the combination of ticket/eticket and boarding passes is best. If you have the ticket but not the boarding pass, then another way to demonstrate that you actually took the flights is to show the mileage credit in your frequent flyer account.
