Listen everyone..Just because you hire an Atty, DOESN'T mean that he did your paperwork correctly...our app was filed on 11/18/13 and on 5/14/14, The TSC finally got off their Hillbilly assses and looked at our app, but they NOW need more paperwork..My atty said they may need more paperwork to support what he sent them..I informed him that, if they kicked our app back because he didn't send in the correct paperwork that I was coming down to his office and pull him over his desk and get my money back from him.!!!..these atty's promise you the sun when they are trying to get hired by you..my advise is everyone is, yes, it IS a good idea to hire an atty so you have a better chance of getting your app processed correctly, but it's not 100%..and ALSO, once your Fiancee gets here..just file all the future paperwork yourself..who cares if they kick it back and delay it, your Fiancee is here and that killer wait is over....save the money and file all future forms yourself...

You are right.. Just study everything before you submit the papers, attys can't do anything. All they can do is to complete the papers, you can also do that. My fiance and I worked very hard to complete the paperworks. We don't need Atty. What we are doing now is to wait for that f*$$%-3g approval.

We received out NOA1 on march 24.

Going on 6 months now since we filed our K1 Visa App on 11/18/13 through the Texas Serv. Ctr..They are so damnn slow and need to hire more people..This is really uncalled for that people have to wait 6 months and more for these idiots to process paperwork that was prepared by an Immigration Atty..Everytime you call any service center, all your talking to is the front end people that are low level employees that will not tell you anything except generic responses..you need to have your atty call there and demand to talk to a dept. officer and they will give them the most up to date information available on your case..I called 6 times past two weeks and NOONE could tell me what date of filed apps they were working on..My atty called and the Dept. Officer told him the current date they are working on..this is an FYI so you guys don't keep calling those nitwits on the front line...

Wow i cant believe you have 6 months waiting :( :( I'm sorry ...

Is unfair and so disrespecful these people dont care nothing about our cases... You know how hard is have a relationship on the diatance :( I dont know im so tired of this situation soo tired ..

So your Atty said they are currently working on 11/16/13 to 5/13/14???

I'm a March filler so I hoping my cases be approved soon... also was thinking this next month to call but like you said they dont tell nothing good only generic answers...

So I initially applied in December but my case wasn't moved to TSC until February, does that mean that's my start date now? When you guys say TSC is working on November cases is that the initial date or the date it was moved to TSC?

You have only been waiting 2 months. Unfortunately, There is NO point calling until August, once the full 5 months processing time has passed. You won't get ANY answer other than to wait.

I certainly was...jjpgyitr4evr, I am so sorry to hear about the hang-up as I was happy to see your case's movement.

I called last Friday and also tried to fill out the online case update request but was told and got the same message that our case is still within the processing time. Since not much can be done but wait, I am just trying to keep busy and hope for the best.

One post removed for spamming the thread.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Though the processing life-cycle is 5mos, that timeframe does not need to be exhausted. There are several reasons we have heard/read from news in the past which caused the extreme backlog. Meanwhile, we wonder what has been done...it seems that the bottleneck just narrowed down to the present processing. I have no idea how one type of Visa-application can have priority than the other types, how CSC service center can process more rapidly than TSC, how DACA program got special attention...etc when we are all citizens, in the process to petition/legalized a loved one.

Imagine, if we were all to 'walk this process physically', as if we were lined up to each of our appropriate service center, do you think we would see equality and fairness while we wait? I asked this because, as a citizen who actively support and give my time helping others and my community, who always worked hard and paid whatever is due (to Uncle Sam)...would really feel disappointed if I see someone with an illegal-status pass me to get their paperwork processed for legalization. It is just a thought and I am still being patient :) <March 2014 Filer>
