NVC Filers - May 2014

In my case, it took a week after case # was assigned for AoS fee and DS261 to be available.

And after I filled out DS261, it took a week for IV fee to be invoiced.

BUT, lately, it has been taking longer. NVC seem to be backlogged!!!!!!

Wow. Even to generate invoices there is a backlog? I thought that was done automatically. That's just insane.

How long did it take for you to get your IV fees generated after you paid the AOS and submitted DS261?

You make perfect sense. Keep watching the progress and then when you see that they got to the 8th of May mail, give them a call.

When I was waiting for CC, I used to call 2 or 3 times a day. They drove me nuts and I drove them crazy!!!!!!!!!!

Yup thanks thats what ill do. Unless i get bored then maybe i can bug them jeje. Im worried thought about my aos. After seeing a couple of post i remember i did round the annual gross income on the i-864a form ???

I think they are trying to control the workflow. If they delay the invoicing, then the barcode sheets can't be printed and packages can't be sent.

Just my observation lately. Seems they are backlogged since the I-130's are being processed in 5 months now. They can't keep up.

Right now it seems to be a huge mess!!!!!!! reviews used to take 2 to 3 weeks tops, now it seems that 4 weeks is the norm. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did anyone do electronic processing? wondering how we will know if they rec'd the package or not..

sent in AOS package.. it has been a week since I emailed my AOS package, IV fee has not yet been invoiced! It seems a lot people are waiting on IV invoice.

if they tell you that you have mail waiting to be reviewed from May 7th, then that is scanned in. That is how they know its waiting. You are waiting for them to review it.

The more I read and think about this, the more I get convinced with your theory.

It makes perfect sense: they can't review it if they don't have it. And if they don't have, it is not going to mess up their processing times average.

What a twisted way to deal with things! I hope they are turning into a USCIS sh!t hole!!!!!!!!!!

lol, yea i tried to ask them a few ways, has it been assigned to the particular group or can you tell me if you have both packages. they basically told me, they haven't even opened it to know what's in the package and yes it hasnt been reviewed...i sent both packages together..

my husband just spoke to Jean. another day, same story. aos checklist package is waiting to be reviewed, everything else is accepted. wait 30 business days (bullshit days).

What's going on friends? Nobody is calling NVC for updates?

It's been a miserable day here in the UK. Grey, and wet all day . Reading about the backlog at NVC is making it even more depressing.. Just knowing our AOS and IV packages are there waiting.. and we were aiming for a July interview. :'(
