Please pay specific attention to the questions marked in the attached I-864/A checklist. You will need to complete and submit a new form with the changes noted on the attached checklist.

You will need to follow the instructions for the Affidavit of Support (I-864) that are posted on the Department of State website at the following address:

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. From there, you can fill out a new form online, print the new completed form and mail it to NVC. If you are the Petitioner, please read all instructions and complete the correct form to submit to NVC. An Affidavit of Support form is required to be submitted from the Petitioner on each case regardless of his/her income level.

NVC will hold this case until you send us these needed items. When you return the documents to NVC, please make sure that the documents submitted are in the correct order and stapled together, as stated in the I-864 Important Notice instructions.

NVC Special Instructions

This is the email that i receive today. My question is do i have to submit a new AOS form? Im confious. Coz I just gone done talking to Evette from NVC i asked her about the checklist if i need to submit a new AOS and she said i dont need to, they just want a letter of employment or recent pay stub.

What should I do guys base on your experience? Should I follow NVC's advice to just submit employment letter? Or i better send them a new AOS form?

Just follow what the nvc rep told you.. i got a checklist also they just want my husband to send his 2013 w2 form or 2013 tax transcript.. i called nvc for several times to make sure not to send another i-864 form... and they told me (arthur,joy and the other 2 reps i forgot there names).. we just send what is needed...

Yesterday I resubmitted DS 261 mistakenly..is that impact to anything for IV invoice or case delay??? Still my IV fee is not invoiced.

Do what you want BUT I only put an amount in the 2013 spot. I did not fill in the 2012 or 2011 spots and mine was accepted

did you attach an explanation why you did not fill up 2012 and 2011? My husband is lost his 2011 tax details and he's having a hard time accessing his tax info online and hon't have time to go to h and r block as well.

Yes it is. That "Information on the Principal Immigrant" section continues from the bottom of the left column over to the top of the right, it's very poorly designed.

I see, I thought its for the petitioner. that is one of the reason that's why I got a checklist too. (Stupid me.. Oh well!!!)

My joint sponsor did the same mistake when he filled up his 1-864, instead of putting the beneficiaries address he put his. Does it mean they'll gonna send another checklist for my joint sponsor's I-864 form?

Should I send a revised I-864 form from my joint sponsor too? Or i should I wait for the NVC to send me email again?

But when I talk to Evette From NVC I asked her if they need a new i-864 from the joint sponsor, she said NO.

Case Approved At Last!!!

Hello everyone! I tried to update my timeline with no success, so I hope that it shows in the personal section beneath this comment. Next month is just shy of a year that we applied for our IR-1 and now we're just awaiting an interview date. Any UK people who have/had the interview in London, I would like to know the timeframe you waited from completed case to interview date.

This forum has been a great tool for us and thanks to everyone on here for your feedback. I will be sure to indicate an interview date when it gets assigned. Best of luck and a speedy process for those waiting at the NVC!

Hello All,

I have a question. I'm currenlty trying to immigrate my wife and son to san diego im at the NVC stage. I applied for an expedite request and on May 15th the consulate in Montreal denied my request. Does anyone know why they would deny such a request?

Here is what I wrote:

"I’m currently on active duty in the United States Navy and stationed in San Diego, California. At any moment I can be chosen to obligate an “Individual Augmented billet” a.k.a. I can be deployed at any time. I would be very thankful and appreciative if you expedite my case because I need to have my family prepared for such an event. Also, my wife is 20 weeks pregnant and it’s very hard on her not having me there because she also has a four year old to take care of (case MTLxxxxxxx). Furthermore it would be a lot better for us financially if she were here in time to give birth at the Naval hospital because we are covered by my job. Attached is statement of service. I appreciate your time and effort in reviewing my request"

I'm so sorry to hear this! I have no idea about the criteria for expedites other than some basic recall on what I've seen posted here, but it's truly a shame that not only you, but all of us, have to wait such a long time to be with our families/ loved ones.

I don't think any of us are truly certain whether it will cause delay or not, but there's a chance it will as described earlier today.

Congratulations!! It was about 6 weeks from case complete to interview date for us. You should check out the interview thread and look at dwheels' spreadsheet, there's historical info for other UK filers including data points for case complete, interview assignment, and interview date.
