After NOA2, and consulate question!!

Hey guys..

So my fiance and i received our NOA2 in the mail on Monday with notice date of April 9, 2014.

Just wondering, our petition gets sent to NVC, Should we be calling yet for our case # and to see if they have received it yet? Or should we just wait?

Will my fiance(petitioner) be getting a letter saying they have it and have now sent it off to my US embassy?

It says my consulate is OTTAWA, since that is where i live but only Vancouver and Montreal process k-1 visas. Should i be worried about this or will it be forwarded to Montreal?

I don't know the answer to this one, but maybe you should call the Ottawa consulate? I wrote on mine Vancouver as that is there I will go through. I just submitted though so I have not received my NAO1 or 2 yet.

If you find out an answer, post it? I am sure you aren't the first one to wonder about this!

It takes some time for them to get in to the system. Our NOA2 date was 7 Apr and I have been calling once a week and when I called yesterday. It was in the system and was already in transit to the UK.. You will be sent a letter but they can take time. It is faster to call.

The rule of thumb when I filed was that you wait 10-14 days and then call. However, I got a letter from the Embassy in Dublin beginning the process there before I even had the chance.
