So, surprisingly I received an email from USCIS Today. However I am very confused and will call my attorney tomorrow. Apparently they changed my address when we never requested it. Good thing is theyre working on it. Hopefully its a system glitch.

On June 30, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

From what I have read your case might get approved shortly since you filed abroad. At least Ive seen that happened couple weeks ago not quite sure if they are still doing that but fingers crossed!

Even the beginning of Dec filers are waiting for their approvals so that i assume Sep. Will be the time for us March filers IF we are lucky.

Im wondering if the tornado hit in Nebraska a couple weeks ago effects the delay or not (im at NSC)

Did any March, 2014 filers from NSC got approved? My PD is 3 March, 2014 and case status on USCIS website said my Alien Registration number was changed on 13, March but since then I have not received any update and it still says initial Review.

If there have been any, no one on this thread knows about it.:(

That'll be a big day, the first time an un-expedited March filer at the NSC gets his/her NOA2!! No saying it will become a trend, but I'd feel better if it seemed possible.

And this bit about filing from abroad isn't especially reliable. It was systematic for a chunk of 2012 and then seemed to disappear altogether...but then it seems to have reappeared sporadically in the last couple months. I filed from abroad...hasn't helped so far.

I-130 mailed: 03/10/14 (from France to Chicago Lockbox)

I-130 received: 03/12/14 (this is also our priority date)

NOA1 email: 03/16/14 (email sent at 11:40 pm on Sunday!?!)

NOA1 letter: 03/30/14

I-797C: 03/21/14

NOA2 email: 08/09/14 (email sent at 5:45 am on Saturday!?!)

NOA2 letter: 08/13/14

Sent to NVC: 08/19/14 (email notification)

NVC receipt: 09/08/14 (confirmed by phone call)

NVC case #: 09/11/14 (received via email with NVC welcome letter as attachment)

DS-261 done: 09/12/14

--AOS invoice: 09/17/14 (notice via email)

--Invoice paid: 09/18/14

--accepted: 10/1/14 (notice via email)
IV invoice: 10/1/14 (same email)
IV fee paid: 10/4/14
--accepted: 10/8/14 (status changed to "paid" on NVC website)
DS-260 done: 10/9/14
AOS/IV docs
sent: 10/13/14
AOS/IV docs
signed for: 10/17/14
confirmation
email received: 10/18/14 (this email said there will be a 60 day wait before my docs are reviewed)
checklist: 12/11/14 (i864, section 5, one error: "you must enter "1" for yourself...")
New i864 mailed: 12/14/14
Received: 12/18/14 (email notification 12/22/14, with another 60-day warning)
Third N/A: 3/2/15
NVC case
complete: 3/2/15 (confirmed on call to NVC 3/4/15; email received 3/9/15)
Interview date: 4/1/15 (assigned 3/11/15)
APPROVED!!! CEAC status changed to "Issued" on 4/2/15.
Visa and POE
papers in-hand: 4/12/15
POE: 4/16/15 in Minneapolis. Kept my wife and our three-Y.O. waiting in a windowless room with no toilet access for over an hour, then let them through without asking any questions.
But whatever: it's over!!!!! 13 months and 3 days from original priority date.
Green card: Accompanying docs stamped 6/16, but the card did not arrive until 7/2 (approx. 11 weeks after POE).
Now it's really over. Thank you so much to all of you at VJ who helped us through this ordeal.

Guys,

So after receiving the case status email saying Change of Address, I called USCIS and they confirmed it was a system glitch. However, they did inform me that on June 25th, they sent out a RFE...bummer....we provided soooo much evidence and even my attorney said it was super complete package...I have no idea what they´re asking for. Now I just have to wait to receive the hard copy so we know. Good side, they´re working on it, I´m sure as soon as we send in evidence they´ll make a decision.

Again, PD is March 27th, 2014 and it is being processed in CSC.

Thanks.

David

I lurk on other month’s forums from time to time to help judge when I can expect to hear anything. The December approvals seemed to have trailed off when they had been moving. Some of the December filers seemed to be concerned that we are headed for another backlog like last summer due to DACA:

They are working hard , just not on i-130 petitions. In September 2014 the initial grants of DACA are due to expire , and they are told to start submitting their forms for renewal 120 days before it expires which corresponds with June 2014. Is it a coincidence that approvals for December filers have just trailed off this month, i think not. DACA filers were given priority then and it seems like once again they are being given priority over US citizens.” -A December forum post

I was wondering if anyone else had heard about this and if anyone had any thoughts on what’s currently going on in Congress will do to us March filers’ processing, if anything.

Not that there’s much we can do either way.

Oh hunny so excited for u! After 3 months I am pretty sure u are super happy!! Cheerish every sec of it!! Dont let ur negative side shadow the love. Just think that by next year this time you will be with him. I am not going to lie, I get desperate, anxious, jealous, sad pretty often lately I hate this situation as much as eveyone else going thru this, but I am not gonna let this shitty situation win. Like my hubby said, we may be away but our love has no borders, we have hope, hope for a brighter future, hope that after this we are goin to be together, just a matter of time, thats our pain, not being able to be where we want in this exactly moment. Dont allow yourself to get sad over the stuff u read here, we are all moving forward and despite all the crazy stuff u see here we are moving and our time is coming, we are closer than yesterday!! I am positive I am going to be there by Oct-Nov in fact thats what I tell everyone. I believe it, God is by my side :).

Hello im in mex right now :) any news yet? Not here...checking my emails constantly though and praying for the big day!! Have u seen any approvals for march??

130 PD: 3/31/14

129F PD: 4/25/14

!30 Approved: 9/5/14

Oh my gentle heavens!!!! I am dying here!!! This wait is the worst form of torture in the history of EVER!!! I am loosing patience! How are you guys staying cool during this wait? We are with Nebraska. Feeling like they aren't moving tho. I've been looking at their timeline (by looking I mean stalking daily since I mailed in the I130) and its been going back and forth between December and January for atleast a month. I need my hubby RIGHT NOW!!! Nebraska why are you torturing me so????

I'm missing a good chunk of my only son's third year of life, so I hear you.

Then again...when we filed the projection was 5+ months to NOA2 at the NSC. I hoped to get lucky or have the pace pick up or some such unlikely event, but I've always kept that Aug/Sept target in my head to keep some perspective.

I don't let myself log in to USCIS more than once per week. I work a lot, exercise, and Skype with my wife and kid whenever possible. I try to enjoy the things I can do that I won't be able/won't want to do as much once my family is here, like sneak out for twilight golf, go for really long bike rides, or go out with colleagues after work and stay late if it's fun. I build stuff for my son's room, and have my wife scour Craigslist for furniture she likes.

That's about all i got.:) Hang in there.
