Got a checklist for my mother's I-864A, Part-1,Item-3, for leaving that space blank. We left that blank because both mailing address and residence address are the same. And also it clearly mentioned inside the bracket of item-3 that i only need to fill out If different from mailing Address. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. We are so unlucky from the beginning of this whole process :(

Dear VJ members, please DO NOT leave anything blank on your forms. Their instructions are totally BS.. I learned my lesson!!

Uh-oh! I wish you send them the checklist highlighting where it mentions only needs to be filled if different.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!

You should put in the name of the college, its address and the years (from and to). They are not asking you to submit the diploma so it does not matter that the name of the college is not on the diploma. The name of the university is immaterial here.

Same with high school. They only want the name of the high school, address and dates, and not the state or national school board.

Thanks for replying, that is what I was thinking too that I should put in the college's name and not the university's name.

This would probably be best handled in a private message at this point. Or maybe it's time to let it go, this is clearly going nowhere. She *sighed* at you, you didn't appreciate it. At the same time, she's likely frustrated posting the same thing repeatedly (particularly something that's not related to NVC). Can we please move on? We all want our spouses home and we're all frustrated and burnt out. Maybe it's best to just let it go at this point and get back to discussing NVC?

I appreciate everything Saylin has done and for someone to volunteer their time to create a wiki page, monthly thread, and spreadsheet for other people is really commendable. For sticking around here AFTER completing their journey is incredible. This is a HUGE thread and the same questions are asked over and over again, and anyone would get frustrated.

Yes ....just the joint sponsor...they already have petitioner evidence from previous filings .

If later you decide or need to add anyone such as spouse of joint sponsor then I-864a

Talked to a very nice lady at NVC yesterday (didn't catch her name) and asked about the Ebola situation and the possibility of an expedite. She was very understanding and said it is definitely a cause for concern and could be risky enough to speed up the process. She gave me information to request an expedite, so I sent an email yesterday. Worth a shot, I guess. If it doesn't work, no big deal. I've gotten an email from the US embassy here in Dakar every day since the outbreak concerning safety so they might be on top of things to get us out of here quickly.

I am the petitioner (USC). My husband is Senegalese.

6/10/2013: NOA1

1/21/2014: NOA2 (TSC)

2/6/2014: Received at NVC

3/13/2014: Case Number, IIN, BIN received by phone. Emails handed over.

3/17/2014: Submitted DS-261

3/18/2014: Received emails- AOS invoice and Case Number, IIN, BIN

3/19/2014: AOS available and paid (IN PROCESS)

3/19/2014: My part of AOS sent to joint sponsor from Senegal, awaiting PAID confirmation before joint sponsor sends to NVC

3/21/2014: AOS payment REJECTED. Paid again, payment IN PROCESS. Joint sponsor received AOS package in US

3/24/2014: AOS Payment went through account. Still in process at NVC.

3/25/2014: AOS PAID. IV Yellow Triangle in the morning. IV email and payment invoiced in the afternoon. IV payment IN PROCESS.

3/26/2014: IV payment taken out of bank account, still in process at NVC. IV packet sent via DHL from Senegal.

3/27/2014: IV shows PAID. DS-260 Submitted. AOS sent to NVC from Oregon.

3/28/2014: AOS and IV delivered (both signed by G.Peters)

4/1/2014: Both packets in the system

4/14/2014: Fake checklist for AOS. IV assumed accepted (will call to verify)

4/15/2014: Case complete (by phone)

4/22/2014: Case complete email

5/1/2014: Interview scheduled (confirmed by phone)

6/25/2014: Interview date!

Just got done talking to NVC and I have a CASE COMPLETE :dancing::dancing:

Thank you very much Saylin, NLR, Dwheels and everyone who helped me with this journey.

I bust into tears when he said congratulations you have a case complete

I had to wait close to 6 weeks for iv bill to come and it was painful

once again thanks to god and everyone who has helped me out

When you get that yellow exclamation point triangle thing next to IV bill how long does it take before it is available to pay?
