I'm getting worried about the Chrome vs IE thing. I didn't know we "have" to use IE and I paid using Chrome last night and it still hasn't showed up on my bank account statement.

Well, I'd suggest calling back up and asking the operator specifically: "Is my DS-261 accepted?"

Ok. Thanks!

It's not the same. It's simply in their system now waiting review and acceptance. When it gets accepted or it's above to be accepted you'll see the yellow triangle on CEAC. After that you'll get a confirmation email for selection of agent and IV bill. Few hours after that the invoice will actually become payable.

Chceck out my signature, I have described all of the steps that were seen. It's consistent with what others have seen as well.

That's what I figured. The first agent was pretty stressed and rude. When he gave me that answer I knew he was just trying to be difficult and he wasn't listening. So we called again and got a very nice lady, we were told by the same words and she also said DS261 takes a little time. And that's what I I see from people's signatures. Anyways, Thanks for confirming it! Now my heart can rest a little bit.

Wow...our case was expedited thru USCIS too. And before we got our case numbers, we were really worried cause we are on a tight time frame so we asked and explained our need to expedite our case, and we were told we could do it now, without case number and any of that stuff. But because of China's "special" customs rules, we decided to go thru EP cause the consulate will decide if they want me to file with paper or electronically, and we can't take that chance, so we decided (also on Darnell's advise) to wait for EP, so we didn't expedite it thru NVC.

When our expedite request in NVC was approved, they let us mail all our documents to a supervisor. I was expecting that it will be forwarded here in our embassy. But having a supervisor review all our documents made all the process really fast.:)

YOU....are a saint, Saylin heart.gif

I will call NVC as soon as I get off work. If they say they cannot do anything, I will tell my mom to mention it at the interview. It wont have any impact on the processing, right ? cray5ol.gif I feel so dumb rightnow.

Nope, not that big of an issue. They'll see for themselves the copy of the passport anyway in the IV package. No need to stress about it no0pb.gif

You don't have to pay with IE. But when using government sites, such as this one, it's recommended to use IE as that's the only browser the site has been designed and tested for. If it works in other browsers, bonus for them, but they could care less if it doesn't work. Which is sad, since IE sucks laughing.gif

I bet!

Oh, We would really expedite it if we know for sure it will save us time...China runs a different ship...we could just make a best decision out of the options we were given and pray for it.

Anyways, hope you get your interview very soon!!! :)

Blessings!

Because we can choose if we want to file with papers or electronically, so if we request an expedited review, this decision is completely under the mercy of the consulate, we can't choose then. And if the consulate for some reason decides to go with paper, we are delayed further because China customs sit on the file for 3MONTHS for no reason, and the consulate will not be able to get my files till after China customs decides to release the file. So...EP sounds a lot faster...lol!

Don't worry I paid my AOS and IV fees from my mobile. Also It takes 2 business days to show the transaction on your bank account.

For AOS I plan to support using assets. I am printing out statements from my bank accounts from Nov-current. Is that enough time to show money didn't magically appear?

Also, since I am abroad I also want to use these statements as proof of domicile (they have my US address on them). How would I order it or label it so they see both? (assets and domicile)

What my husband did was taking Saylin's sample domicile letter and including his bank statements mailing address being in the sates In that letter and claiming assets on I864. Just that. Maybe someone else has better and more brilliant ideas about this. Also because we are doing EP, we didn't feel right to label or do anything to the document itself since the officer will only see the scanned copies. Just don't want to raise flags or anything. So this is just to give you an idea, I know it's sooo basic...lol :) Edited by Ja&Ka

Well, that sounds fancy blink.png

1. Copies are fine. For the AOS package, the only things that need to be original are the I-864 form and employment letter (and cover letter if you send one). Tax information and pay stubs can be copies.

2. Sadly, the timeline doesn't have everything (hence the reason for my post before). When was your case number assigned? Was your I-130 approved from NBC or was it transferred at some point and approved elsewhere? And your timeline says you're going through Armenia, which I'm thinking is not true, due to the country on your profile saying Nigeria.

case number assigned on 03/15/14

I-130 was transferred on 11/16/13 to Nebraska Service Center.

And the Armenia thing, you are right, i just cant get rid of it.

Thank you Saylin
