Hello everyone:)....it has been a while since i last log in here, i will be sending my N-400 this week,so please count me in;)

I have a question though,unfortunately i can't find hubby's birth certificate,and it is so expensive to obtain one from the birth registry for a copy,will his Passport copy suffice?

Out of curiosity, is there a certain metric to detemine what makes one a filer of a certain month? Based on your timeline to date, I would consider you a March filer. I, for one, only posted out my petition yesterday (31st March), and I'm considering myself a March filer. Just wondered since I wasn't sure how this was all being determined.

The date the USCIS puts on your NOA1 as being received is the metric that has been used here on VJ.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

Yes, the passport copy will suffice. They are looking for proof of citizenship.

We dont have to include pictures in our application correct?
the only pictures i thought we had to include are the 2 passport style pics not pictures of you as a couple etC?

I included pictures of our trips as proof of our Marriage, but I dont think it's that important, I just did it because I had lots of copies from older petitions and since this is the last time I'm filing for anything related to immigration I decided to send it all.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

I would wait. I'm not sure if you need to or not, but I would personally send the latest one in. You can download it directly from irs.gov, its very easy!

My Journey:

I would not wait.

Including the latest tax returns will not necessarily lend an advantage to your N-400 petition just as omitting them will not penalise it.
