A hint of ice or snow here shuts the city (and stuff a 100 mile radius around) down. D O W N.

I know, Texas sucks.. Reminded me of the whole Dallas city area being paralyzed by snow slushies last year Dec.

So Crazy.

wow...

excuse me while i go delete my fb account.

Yes, FB is evil. I have one.. and I'm considering either making a new/fresh one or going off the grid again.

Again, you say? Well, no. No-one says that because let's be frank, no-one gives a flyin' frak and someone will probably accuse me of being something like "overly sensitive" or some other tosh like that, but I'm gonna talk anyway and if you lot don't like it you can just ignore it as per the thread rules.

I had what might be classed as an unsettled upbringing. My father was (and is) a womanizer, he even fathered another child with one of his mistresses who was born around the same time as my sister was. He is also abusive, controlling, manipulative.. basically, he's a nasty piece of work. Whilst I was at University, in my last year I decided enough was enough and cut all ties after doing something else pretty drastic. Not saying what.

This prompted threats against my grandparents, I was stalked on campus by his brother and (the point of this little story) Facebook, among other ways years later. I basically had to go off the grid completely at the suggestion of the Police and was moved back on campus for my own safety. Anyway, to bring it into perspective - I have to be exceptionally careful what I post at times because it gets passed back to him despite the fact he's not able to contact me through it. So FB is a blessing and a curse. But you knew that already, aye?

Anyway, it's why I dislike violence and why I dislike abuse. If I ask questions, it's to understand the "why" behind it, not because I take personal offense. And if I ask questions to get answers and try to understand something, I don't appreciate being called stupid, dense or retarded, whatever. Especially when I'm trying to make sure I understand correctly.

"What's yours is mine!"
