So After getting the EAD card in mail yesterday, I happily went to the SSN office today. It seemed like by the expression of the lady who was serving me that she has never seen an EAD card. :cry: After making photocopies and all she comes back with a paper and tells me that the application is accepted but it may take upto 4 weeks to get the card since they will have to get confirmation from the Immigration department regarding the document being legitimate. :wow: ..Are you kidding me?? The SSN office doesn't even trust a card produced by the USCIS. Oh well. Looks like I have to wait longer to get a job....

I bet you will get it in 7-10 days. Just because the agent at the counter didn't know what she was looking at doesn't mean the SSA doesn't. This is pretty routine and the SSA issues SSN's for EAD's all the time. I would be willing to bet that you will be getting your card within the next 10 days if not even sooner.

I bet you will get it in 7-10 days. Just because the agent at the counter didn't know what she was looking at doesn't mean the SSA doesn't. This is pretty routine and the SSA issues SSN's for EAD's all the time. I would be willing to bet that you will be getting your card within the next 10 days if not even sooner.

Can you tell us how it went? what did they ask? Were you interviewed in separate room? My interview is may 13th and i am nervous!!! :no:

Thanks, you too. Yes received my EAD/AP combo card just yesterday - not that I can do much with it since my interview is in less than 2 wks. From what I've seen people have their EAD in hand within a week or so from status changing to Card Production, you will probably receive yours just in time to hand it back at your interview! Lol!

Hello all and Good Morning!

Just giving everyone an update my husband received his EAD card in the mail yesterday! :) we recevied the notice on the 23rd and he received it on May 1st so just an update for all those that are still waiting for your card in the mail! :)

My case interview with Chinese lady in same room. she let u stand and tell the truth. answer I do .

then she says Have a seat..

First asking my husband about our relationship how we met and why he been divorced 2 times , and asking about joint documents more.. and asking for divorced paper from ex wife.. I m already summited !!!! and his birth cert by us government !!!

Lucky that I m prepare a lot of documents she don't want original just a copy !!! Forget about the form !!! she already had it don't need to copy to show it , so who will interview must prepare everything that OI will ask for >? cos incase if u say u don't have not really good way for sure they can deny u case. most problem deny case it from tax.

and she asking me when my birthday , when u get married asking super fast !!! and she asking yes/no question ... answer is no all !!!!! I think this is the last question that she gonna asking u ... is yes no question !!!! then she ask what do u want to asking any question . I asking her do I get greencard ? .. she answer our case been approved wait in mail about 4 week she have to let her supervisor verify and sign today. but I m still curious about why I don't get passport stamp or new uscis system they don't stamp anymore cos one friend of me she says she don't get passport stamp too but she got greencard sent to her mail box instead.

So I hope I got approved . cos im read a lot some says u must been stamp in u passport of tempolary greencard . and u will get real one later in mail after 2 weeks also.

Got my EAD today, status update May 1 said usps picked up the card. That was so fast ^__^ but my AP is still "mailed u a notice" since april 25 and Aos is testing & interview

Feb. 2013 - First conversation ( we met through a friend )
Mar 26, 2013 - First meeting in person, Manila
April 06, 2013 - He went back to US
April 15, 2013 - I-129F sent to USCIS
April 17, 2013 - I-129F delivered
April 19, 2013 - NOA1
April 23, 2013 - Alien Registration Number was changed
June 17, 2013 - Second Visit
July 31,2013 - RFE
August 06, 2013 - Return to US
August 08, 2013 - RFE reply sent. ( next day delivery service)
August 09, 2013 - RFE response received
August 13, 2013- APPROVED!
12nn - Received an email from Representative Staff that our petition is approved already. ( w/ email from USCIS officer )
8pm - Received email confirmation about the approval & Online Status Updated.
August 14,2013- got my BC & Cenomar ( waited 5mins for BC & almost 1 1/2hr for Cenomar)
August 15, 2013 - got my NBI ( total processing time from step 1 to releasing 1 1/2hrs)

AP finally approved. Although I will not be using it since my interview date is literally 2 weeks away. Oh well. :)

2001-2005 F1 - College

July 2012 - Both took the leap of faith and moved to Boston together
