Play semantics with the dictionary, not me. Doesn't matter what you want the defination to be.. there's the definations in a dictionary and even more important, legal definations. So get out of your make believe world and join the rest of us.

It's one thing to be against Capital Punishment, but to show your ignorance in calling it murder when the legal and literal definations say otherwise is totally different.

Most of the world don't use capital punishment. I believe I am with the majority on this one. Go ahead and call me ignorant all you want. Smoking is legal, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Jail's not exactly a walk in the park. Lenjay, you make it sound like a vacation. Try being there for a month and see how you really like it. I don't think jail would be fun for this guy whatsoever. Even so, in this case, I think he should receive the death penalty, even though like you ET, I am usually against it.

Ummm, I guess you missed out on our last debate on this.. I'm there quite frequently.. I work in a prison. So unlike alot of people here, I know what goes on behind the wire fences and the walls... It's not the prison that you see on the TV's.. Hell, I got treated worse, and lived in worse conditions, when I went to Basic Training for the army.

And btw Fuzzy... "most of the world" is up for debate... according to wiki..

79 countries don't have the death penalty

93 countries do

another 23 still have it but haven't executed someone in at least 10 years.

I've always been against capital punishment but if he confesses that he knew 9/11 was going to happen and did nothing to warn, then I would rather not pay hundreds of thousands of $$$ to keep him safe and warm and fed and nurtured... all the while he gets free higher education, which many cannot afford....

pull the plug.

Can the Naturalizatin process be so painless?!!

It doesn't matter what your last debate was. Although I visited Javier twice in 2 different prisons, I never did see what you will see. But he did. He lived that life. And he said it was the worst experience he's ever ever had in his entire life. You don't know what's going to happen next. You can't sleep. He lost a ton of weight from the nasty food they had. His personal hygeine and appearance, which he takes great pride in, went all to hell. He told me they never allowed them outside. He never saw the light of day. Hours of the day stuck in a cell with guys you don't know, monitored phone calls...he experienced racism in the 3 jails in Charlestown WV, York PA, and Pittsburgh PA.

Oh I dunno about that.

I will admit that criminals are treated too "nicely" and would like to see a radical reform in the prison systems. Hell, if I committed a violent crime I could get a university education for free! What's wrong with that picture eh

i worked in a few prisons..no need to tie his hands..place him in general population..in a 4 man cell with 3 lifers..they ####### him to death...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Stick him in the general population. House him with some white pride gang and tie his hands together so he can't fight back.

That would work for me!

The sad thing is-if he is executed he will be viewed as a hero, a marytr for his insance cause.

Put him in general population-let them deal with his a*s :D

Yeah, let the animals eat each other up.

Since I am morally opposed to the death penalty, I'd vote life in prison based on the little I know of the case. But the guy is clearly deranged, could he be treated and recover his sanity? And then would it be safe and correct to possibly release him? I'd have to be on the jury to know enough to properly judge that. But in the meantime, life in prison w/o the possibility of parole.

Release at any point of time under any circumstances is not even on the table. It's for him to be locked up for good or put to death. Those are the choices.
