What priority date is the NVC workin on? Based on NOA1 my priority date is Match 25. Is the NVC working on dates around mine? I don't understand the visa bulletin or how to read it. It has no information on CR1 applications.. Does anyone know. We are desparate, I am thinking of changin my address to my husbands London address maybe then things will go faster. this is getting to be utterly outrageous and infuriating. I don't know how much longer I can take

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

It looks like they are closed today again. I just called.

A number of USCIS offices have delayed opening until 10am, might be the same for NVC.

I need to take a break from this forum. I couldn't have gotten this far without you guys but now getting a interview date unfortunately is on hold now until my husband can get the correct birth certificate and certified court documents. I am afraid this could take months. This is so depressing. I have no words :((

I am sure that the numerous snowstorms in the past few weeks (including the massive one that will hit NH around Monday) is impacting their schedule. I'd say keep calling them twice a week and keep asking them. But be patient in this storm. Moving to the UK won't make the process go faster.

We're on d same boat ;( dont have my case # yet. Nvc received our case 1/13. Its more than 20bus.days.

Me too.. no case # yet up til now.. NVC received it 1/14. Hopefully nxtwk will be our week.. :)

Calling NVC as we speak and it's either ringing without anyone picking up... Or a busy signal. (Update: The main message says "Assistance regarding an immigrant visa is not available at this time.") Someone buy those people a decent computer system, please. (Are they running Win98?!?)


I pray to god we get it next week. NVC received it on 1/16

Between the snow days and the holidays, I'm no longer expecting it next week. I'm hoping for the last week in Feb.

One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant got wrong (resulting in a checklist). I truly think they want to get your paper processed and you out of there as quick as they can, and they do have a lot of people to process. So try your best to be patient. We'll get through this, eventually, surely. We're all anxious and we all want it yesterday and it just doesn't work that way, unfortunately.

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. Oh, I entirely understand, and I'm always nice to them. But I'm a bit beyond the point where I feel sorry for them for having to do their jobs, or getting snow days off. All I see is more delays. I'm sure that I would have been more charitable had I not already been waiting 11 months to be done with the stupid immigration garbage. With them, I'm patient and nice, always. But I hang up that phone and scream at it.

Hi everyone, does anybody know if I the petitioner need to send in my prior divorce papers with the IV packet?? I didn't think so but the service I used said I had to, just confused?

Let us know if you receive your case no...

I was only on hold for 7 minutes before someone picked up, I think that's a record!

No case number yet, but I wasn't expecting one. They received our case on Jan 21. The woman I spoke to was very nice and mentioned they'd had a couple of days the office was closed for inclement weather, so she said if I called back later they might have an update. Based on the updates I've seen from other members here, I'm thinking next Friday might be an optimistic guess for getting our number.
