Hi everyone!

I was wondering if someone could answer my questions in as much detail as possible. Many thanks in advance!

Timeline:

NoA1: 02/04

NoA2: 03/13

I received my hard copy of the NoA2. Now I know the next step is to wait for the NVC to give me a case number. I've gathered through this thread that I can try calling them for it. My questions are:

1) Once I receive the case number, then what?

2) Many people have mentioned that the ceac website says their case is READY. Ready for what?

3) Being that my fiancé is in Afghanistan and the mail service there is unpredictable, can I sign up for communication through email? If so, how can I enroll?

Thanks!

1) You can check your status, the way you did with your USCIS case number. Your fiancee will also need it to fill out the DS-160.

2) At the embassy and ready for interview

3) I don't know. You could try calling/emailing the embassy and asking.

I received our case-number and ceac-website says its in transit.

can I pay the visa fee now and fill out the DS 160 or is this too early? should I wait for pack 3?

221-G for something I won't mention, but it's nothing in the normal path. Could take a couple of months to comply.

:( Sorry to hear that Chris. Hope it doesn't take that long for you guys. Best wishes! :)

Hope things get back on track. Hang in there, Chris.

Should wait. Fees are non-refundable.

I was planning to move ahead but was advised against it by the consular office.

Ours changed from 'In Transit' to 'Ready' in 8 days.

Texas has more than twice the applications, I think. dashboard.uscis.gov has the details. They need to do a serious transfer sometime soon <_<

I checked out the website but is seems similar in both Texas and California. Even out of people on here, there's an approval once in a while. I wonder what's going on, if its the general trend or are most Texas filers not in this forum. I hate that it's so inconsistant. It's fine if its 5 months and it takes around that time for most, but its just so random, and I don't see how that's fair. I'm way over the average processing time for people filing from the UK to the Texas center. I hope I didn't do anything wrong on my application, I attached a cover letter and I have everything. Not to mention I still haven't gotten my mail version of NOA1, and I'll have to send another service request once my 30 days are up which should be soon.

Removal of Conditions

4/10/17 - i751 sent

4/13/17 - i751 received

5/3/17 - Check Cashed

5/5/17 - NOA 1 (dated 4/13)

I am also waiting for my Noa2..yesterday was my birthday so i was hoping to receive it but guess not... We all have to realize that we are not the only ones having to petition for a Fiance(e) Visa and not everyone who has petitioned has an account or participate on this Visajourney community forum. Texas Service Center is the main office meaning they do have double the work than any other center and not ony that, they not only work to approve K1 visas but yet they have to approve AOS (Adjustment Of Status) and any other immigration issues like its name states: United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). So just imagine the amount of filers that they get!!! They are doing the best that they can...Another thing is each and every 1 of us are on INITIAL REVIEW meaning that they are running background checks on us and for those who has been previously in the states like myself...I was born in VENEZUELA but i was raised since i was a little girl in the US...My entire life(more than 14 years), the culture, my friends, are all from the U.S so imagine the background checks they have make to see if i have had any criminal or police records etc.. So in Conclusion...we just have to Stay positive and still have hope...Only 2 more months for US SINCE average time usually takes 5 months!! What frustrates me is that alot of february filers and even by looking at Igors list i see a person from March getting approved! It sucks but lets just hang in there!!!and we have to be thankful because some people has been denied and some are having complications...!!!

That's very true! at leas no denials or complications. And on the bright side compared to other visas K1s take less time. So fingers crossed everyone.
