Hey Guys,

We just received a hard copy of NOA2 from USCIS saying that the I-130 is approved and forwarded to NVC. It also says that NVC will be contacting the beneficiary for whom you are petitioning.

But I read some where else on the govt. website that NVC will contact the petitioner and the petitioner has to fill some more forms and send in the original documents including proof of financial support and pay processing fees to NVC after which only the file will be forwarded to the right consulate in the foreign country and then the consulate contacts the beneficiary. Is it right? or has the NVC changed the procedure?

Thanks

Walter

Lol, don't check for status manually and do hard work. If you have an android phone , there is an app called "uscis case status notifier" . download that app and save your case in it by adding your receipt number. App will automatically give you notification when there is any change of status. My wife got an email on her registered email address and i got the notification from this app in two minutes after that.

Alright!!!

Now I'm gonna be checking my case online 10 times an hour :D

Don't make the mistake we did, we submitted original copy of certificate and rfe says we never submitted any certificate. Plus your rfe hard copy will say in the last paragraph " if you submit any original, it may not be returned to you " .you can always get notarized copy which can work as an original. I would really suggest you to wait until you receive rfe hard copy.it will say everything what you need to do.

We both got messed up by rfe.

My pd is also 12/24. I also got request for initial evidence .

well i hope it's not big thing ,

do i need to submit the original documents ?

best luck of all of us
