hoping against hope.... the lady at nvc agreed with me when i called, mumbai was mistaken about indian law on marriage when they had denied us, telling us to file a cr-1 which we don't qualify for.... now i just have to wait for mumbai to send the file to uscis and nvc, which they said they were doing back on the 26th of last month... they are sooooo slow! once it is received then nvc said immigration can review and interview me over the phone, and if they agree (which of course they will, as we aren't married yet!) then they can reverse mumbai's decision and we can finally get our visa! pray for us please! waiting and waiting and hoping and praying! this has become a marathon! will we ever get to live our lives the way we dreamed, as hubby and wifey? at least finally a ray of hope.... come on mumbai, stop screwing up and at least send the file if you can't understand the law yourselves! sorry, lol, rant over, i just needed to get this out i think, lol. if you have to deal with the consulate at mumbai, be sure to document everything that happens, carry extra evidence and anything you can think of, lol. but know that if the worst happens there is still help thru nvc and uscis. good luck everybody! hoping we all get our visas quickly!
