Depends on where you live. Who is your congressman? Search on Google to find out who it is and i'm sure they have a website with contact info. Yours will not be the same as mine!

Hey guys!

I hope you all are hanging in there better than I am at least! I was wondering if anyone knows if it matters if we contact our senator? Or is it helpful to just talk to our congressmen/representatives.. If so, Florida has a bunch of different representatives in charged of different aspects such as Armed forces, foreign affairs, etc. I did not see anyone specifically in charge of immigration so who should I speak to? Sorry for all these questions!! This may be a simple question but I just wanted to clear the confusion!

Nope. Still waiting. I'm now in touch with 2 Senators whose offices are looking into it. TSC got back to one of them and of course they gave the one office different information than they have given me on two previous occasions. I've come to realize that they're just lying a good 75% of the time. It's a sad truth, especially when you're holding so many lives in your hands. Hopes can be brought up and then crushed by a second call only to find out the first call was inaccurate information.

Our 5 months came and went as well without a peep from TSC. All we can do is wait.

In regards to contacting your senator vs your congressmen/representatives, it's up to you. Some ppl contact one or the other, while some contact both. I chose my congressman because the process is a bit quicker. Typically to inlist assistance from your senator, you will be required to complete a disclosure form which requires not only your(petitioner) signature, but that of the beneficiary as well. While your representative only requires your signature(petitioner).

You can go online to http://whoismyrepresentative.com/ to determine who your district representative is and get their contact info online. I suggest calling them and asking to speak with their immigration liason- every congressman has one.

I just want to say something...I'm a government employee and get yelled at all day by people wanting benefits or money. I always maintain my cool but I've seen and heard others just lie or mislead or disrespect the customers. Last time I called the customer service number, the guy was irritated at first, but when I spoke to him on a human level who empathized with him, he leveled with me and said "you'll get something soon. If you don't, call us back on the 21st."

On the 20th I had reached out to a different Senator because the original Senators office wasn't doing anything. 5 weeks and they had nothing to show for it. The same day I reached out to the other Senator, the first Senators office said "your file is next in queue and will be processed soon as per a supervisor over at TSC." I took this with a grain of salt seeing as I've heard different stories over the last few weeks.

Today I got a call from my case officer...yes the case OFFICER who is working on my case. She was a very sweet woman and she was so nice in fact, I started crying and thanking her profusely for just treating me like a human and not just another number in her file. She was taken aback by the lack of respect we receive from customer service, but she was very nice, and bared with me as I more or less started crying tears of relief. It doesn't mean approval but it means progress and that's all I want. She ended up needing another I129F because I missed 2 questions. she had told me someone took the file to her desk this morning and she started working on it.

I know everyone has been posting "just wait your day will come I promise!" from those who have their NOA2s already and are moving forward at lightening speed (comparatively speaking.) I didn't appreciate them because it was just a reminder to me that I was without an NOA2 and others were moving forward. It was an unintentional jealousy - no offense to those who said it, it's my own personal issue not having anything to do with either of you. You're all wonderful people who empathize and feel the same things I'm going through because we're going down this path together. I don't have an NOA2 yet, but I will say, if you are going to call, just be humane, when they get nasty, just level with them and empathize with the thousands of phone calls they get on a regular basis and what limited amount of information they are allowed to give on the phone. You catch more bees with honey or however the saying goes ok, kill them with kindness. Everyone keep your hopes up. I'm keeping mine up, I hope all of us get pushed through soon.

How will we know that our case arrived at the nvc?

We try to call days now but the number is like dead .. Is not ringing. We email them a week ago and still havent receive a reply... What can we do? Will the email us when our case is there ?

You probably won't get an email just a letter from them once they've routed your case to the consulate. You guys need to keep calling everyday till you get through. Try early mornings and late evening. They are open until 12am.

What do you think about arranging all of the stuff we have to send for them to take to the consulate in a 3ring binder? I wanted to create one for my fiance with indexes and the papers 3hole punched as I've seen other people talk about doing that. But then I balked at well darn what if they get pissy about this being 3hole punched. I think it would be easy to present, and easier to read through

FINALLY IM IN THE LINEEEEEE... I called 7:01 am ... I'm still on the line and waiting... I wonder how many ppl ar calling..... Pfffff and im calling from Greece...
