Business in US send invite for tourist visa?

Hello everyone,

I have a question. I'm a USC living aboard in my husband's country of Algeria.To file for IR1 visa would take about 1yr ... like to get to the US faster then that ... is it possible for a small business owned by a relative of mine to send my husband a invitation for tourist visa?

It is possible, however what are you goals? Your husband enters the US with a tourist visa then what? Entering on a tourist visa with intent to immigrate is visa fraud which can carry a lifetime ban.

Invitation letters carry very little weight with tourist visa applications. Why would a small business send an invite to your husband? why would they want/need him in the US?

The direct answer to you question would be yes.

Why you would want to is another matter.

Didn't you just file for your kids CRBA?

You think Embassy has short attention span and will just hand out a tourist visa to someone who clearly has immigrant intent by having a USC wife and kids?

Send the I-130 already and sit tight until it's completed and your husband has immigrant visa. Should've done that much earlier.

Use of a tourist visa with intent to immigrate is fraud. You will have to file the I-130 and wait the process out.

September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
