Bizzare complications when filling out immigration forms

Ok so on the immigration forms it asks for me the petioner to state my parents names and birthdates. My parents and I are currently not on talking terms and have never and will never give me their birthdates. Are the birth dates completely mandatory?!

Just make note that the dates are unknown.

Is this for the G-325A biographical information form? Any information you don't know you can just put UNKNOWN and there won't be an issue.

I would definitely put a note with it, reference which line on what form you are referring to, and give them a brief and impersonal account such as: "My parents and I have severed ties and have not had any contact for ___ number of years. I am unable to get their information" or whatever pertains to your case.

An explanation is not even needed. If they want an explanation, they will ask at the embassy interview. Not even an issue.

Put unknown... Do not complicate with lots of over information... If you don't know, you don't know... Not everyone knows their parents and their info...

if you have your birth certificate that information should more than likely be on there...
