Well we have received our NOA2 (43 days from when petition was mailed) - We are so happy and so thankful for how wonderful this web site has been in guiding us along.

The letter really does not say what we are to do next. In checking with this site it looks like we wait for my fiance to rec a checklist of items in the mail???

Is there anything or anywhere I should check that will give me some sort of idea on what documents that I should be getting prepared to send to him now?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I would like us to be prepared as we can be.

You now have to wait for your Embassy to receive the packet from NVC. They will prepare a packet for your fiance with instructions on what to do next. And congrats!

Read up on the guides, in the meantime, to get a feel of what you'll need for the next steps.

This will likely happen: you will have a 40-50 day wait for NVC to get your file and assign a case number. Then NVC ships to London, and that takes about 5-10 days. Then London sends you a packet 3 letter and you get medical exam and send in some forms (details all over the place here). From the time your medical in London is done and all forms submitted, London interview is about 6-8 weeks out from that point. Thus, ballpark if all goes ok, you are looking at about 40 days + 10 days + 45 days = 95 days from NOA2 to interview date. Don't make firm plans until you have a visa.

Here is BIG PICTURE stuff you need to do, but I advise reading all forums (including UK one) for fuller details:

1. Check with the STATE DEPARTMENT (not the morons at NVC) for your case number. You need your USCIS case number, and both your names and birthdates to get it. The number to call is this: 202-485-7600, then 1, 0. Tell them you would like to get your NVC case number.

2. Once you get a case number, it means you can access your case access at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== This is the State Department site and ONLY works with the State Department/NVC number. Watch for it to say In Transit, which means it's been shipped to the Embassy. This site will be used by you a lot, s it changed if they update your file. You will use this to the end (visa issued).

3. You can check with your buds at the State Dept. number above to see when your file arrives at the Embassy. Then you want to do what's here: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html You need to know this site like the back of your hand, and check it every freakin day. London has a horrible habit of changing required forms like the Mad Hatter in Wonderland.

That is a good summary, but they should have included a reminder that the Readiness for Interview form needs to be submitted. Explanation here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/notification_of_applicant_readiness.html and a link to the form at the end.

Yes, that web page tells you lots of stuff you need to know, including that readiness submittal (which they have changed multiple times, so keep your eyes open!)
