when NVC receive the case after NOA2? will they notify us in hard copy of assigning case # ??How i will know the case # has assigned without calling to NVC ??

If you take the time to read the links and posts from beginning to end on this topic.. They will help you understand the process.. How to help make the NVC process faster and also will help you not recieve a checklist (which is another month delay) is all here.. You just will need to ignore the outdated information provided.. It took me a couple of days but I'm glad all the information was together instead of searching around everywhere..

actually my wife USC has filed the case and i am the beneficiary, she's reluctant to call NVC to know about our case..that;s y i am getting the info from VJ members so i will be able to tell her what she do the best..becuz she is thinking that she will get the hardcopy and something else about assigning the case #...

Read the shortcut links at the beginning.. Calling is the fastest way to gather all your info.. Also looking at other people's timelines it appears it is taking 10-20 days to recieve the case # after NVC recieved the I-130.. I am personally still calling everyday but all signs points to 10-20 days to get my case #.. Hint: Not once since I have called have they asked me if I was the petitioner or beneficiary.. You probably can call yourself.. Edited by TimandAna

Can someone pls update me how many persons one can sponsor?

My father-in-law has already sponsored 2 persons, thus can he sponsor me also?

What is going to be his household size in that case? will it be 2 (both partners) + 2 (already sponsored) + 1 (me ) = 5

If yes, then how much income he should have?

i got this data from some post but its for 2011:

1 household member: $10,890

2 household members: $14,710

3 household members: $18,530

4 household member: $22,350

5 household members: $26,170

6 household member: $29,990

7 household member: $33,810

8 household member: $37,630

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

This is the most recent info I could find..

Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size.

This section asks you to add together the number of persons for whom you are financially responsible. Some of these persons may not be residing with you.

Call NVC ask ur case number.. Don't wait for hard copy.. They never send hard copy for assigning case number.. Once they assign you case number they will ask you pay bills.. But this is second step.. First call NVC ask your id number.. NVC will ask you USCIS number than will assign u case I'd number.. Go a head do that..

At NVC / The Guide to Flying through NVC

4. Getting your NVC number.

Call NVC at 1 (603) 334-0700. Put this number on speed dialits often busy, and youll use it a LOT.

Once your package has been scanned, it COULD update into the AVR (automated voice response system).

If it is uploaded to the AVR, you will be able to retrieve it with your CIS Case Receipt Number.

If is scanned but not in the AVR, an operator can tell you the NVC number.

The AVR is NOT reliable (we've seen some cases being completed without the AVR ever updating their case).

If it's been longer than 2 weeks and you still don't have your NVC case number, start sending up flares.

Call NVC and talk to a supervisor. Be prepared to send them a copy of your NOA2.

Once your case number has been assigned call back and speak to an operator. Give them an e-mail address for you and for your spouse. From then on NVC will e-mail you any correspondence.

Yep.. AVR been down for 2 years which is another link somewhere.. But the rest is accurate.. Some of the other things farther in the guide aren't accurate either.. Someone should take some time to write a updated shortcut guide

You might be confusing things. G325A was submitted with your I-130 form so that's not needed. You sure you received your approval at USCIS and at NVC now.

Your wife really needs to be proactive and on it and calling and not waiting on NVC if you want to be done in the next 2 months or so. Pakistan waits about 2 to 3 months after case complete for interview so the faster you get through NVC the better.

Hopefully you have all your documents sent to wife or getting them together to send. Just go back read post #1 and #2 again and again and tell your wife to read also so you are on same page. Good luck.
