I read your POV. Your argument is based on rhetoric & supposition. You have stated in other posts - you live paycheck to paycheck = you haven't swam in the insurance pool deep end. Only the kiddie pool. That means you do not have any real life experience to tell me how the "have nots" will take my coverage away from me. You just toss it out like a street corner doomsday prophet. & FYI - That's paranoid rhetoric in a cup drank by the ignorant & naïve.

ACA is made for you. That's why you fight for it. So you can take from me & others like me to help yourself & others like you. That's my BG based on your argument & other admissions.

ooooooooh. i see. you think i don't have enough wealth to be considered a real time player in the game. it's true that i do not have any wealth. but that doesn't mean i don't know the game. you're dead wrong there, cleo.

i've been paying for my health insurance for sixteen years. i've never gone on any sort of assistance my entire life. my parents could have, many times, growing up - but they didnt' either. why don't you climb down off that high horse and tell me how is aca made for me and folks like me? i don't need anything from you, and honestly i'd rather die from a curable disease than take anything that i haven't worked for or earned.

as far as your kool aide nonsense..you've been chugging from your own doomsday cup. i was simply offering a different flavor.

From what I'm reading, you have an issue if it comes out of your pocket to help someone less fortunate than you.

That's your choice. But for the folks who can't afford healthcare for whatever reason, this is their only option. It's not perfect, but for folks who have nothing, it's what they have. And if I have to give a little bit of my paycheck in order for someone to recieve medical care, fine by me.

I'm glad to know there are charitable people like you....but...I'm curious....How much will your moral standard actually cost you...bottom line...?

(laughing)

You are assuming (1) she has a job and (2) she makes enough to actually have to pay anything

The supporters of this law who get their premiums and deductables paid for them and the libs who passed it are extremely charitable. Why not? It isn't their money.

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" was true when Thatcher said it and is still true today.

i don't get it.

I was pretty sure she would not suffer any negative due to ACA = the question was leading.

Thatcher is still right. Sometimes history has to repeat itself a few times for some people to finally get it.

honestly i'd rather die from a curable disease than take anything that i haven't worked for or earned.

But you are willing to have the government take your money and give it to people that haven't worked for it or earned it?

I feel you. My wife picked up on that a couple of months in being here. She was like, you guys are so entitled.

Your wife has noticed how people in the US feel entitled. My wife noticed that as well.

She's noticed people in front of us at the grocery store, buying much better food than we do, and not paying for it themselves. At the same time, she works hard to make a budget for us.

She knows people with 5 kids who receive all the government handouts, then get a check from the gov't at the beginning of the year for $8K - 10K. Meanwhile, she carefully plans how we're going to pay our bills each month to make sure we can get by.

She's working and she sees how much is taken out of her paycheck each time; and after being in the US for about two years, she's already figured out where that money goes.

She's definitely noticed how entitled some Americans are.

i could very well have to pay much more, or my employer could drop our policy all together. i don't know yet. but thanks for playing.

I didn't realize I'm on a high Horse. Maybe that's your inferiority and envy doing the thinking for you?

I don't think your question is sincere. You already know how ACA will benefit you = Your premiums will drop due to subsidy.. Additionally / and or...Your coverage will stay static or improve. You can play coy all you want but ACA is a gift for you = pay raise.

& How 'bout you come up with an original instead of stealing my lines...typical lib...always taking from someone else.

Yeah, people should be able to hedge their bet and not get health insurance. I mean, they probably won't get sick or hurt right?

And then if they get hurt/sick, the can opt for medicaid. SWEET, a way to apply the Vegas money making schema to people's lives. Maybe you get sick/hurt, maybe not. Who knows right?......... go ahead and take a chance, its cheaper if you stay lucky. Even if you do roll snake eyes, you can always get handouts right?

F the government for making me responsible for my own healthcare. THAT'S MY RIGHT TO TAKE A RISK AND F EVERYONE ELSE OVER FOR MY SHORT TERM BENEFIT.

i could very well have to pay much more, or my employer could drop our policy all together. i don't know yet. but thanks for playing.

i have been paying medicaid tax since i entered the work force. i have always been in the position to work. not everyone else has been so fortunate. how do you know that the people who need assistance haven't worked for it or earned it? you don't. i am not of the belief that poor people are lazy and worthless. i come from poor people that work for what they do have. i was raised that if you have more than you need to get by, you give someone else a helping hand. i believe healthcare is a right, and being 'the greatest country in the world' we shouldn't have a single sick person untreated or suffering from lack of care.

healthcare should be dirt cheap. if everyone paid toward costs the individual burden for all is less. single payer is the way to go.

SMH - I don't think you are lying. It just took me a little time to figure out = You really don't know how ACA works. & Yet you post as though you do. I got it now. Lesson learned. I will pass on any future discussion (with you RE: ACA) until you catch up and are able to present a valid argument.

So, you're saying the government gives between 8-10k a year and you don't have to work? Wow, why didn't I know about this?

I've shopped in grocery stores outside of the commissary, and the folks who use WIC or food stamps never get the good stuff, from what I've seen.

I've had money taken out of my check since I was 15, yet if it goes to support those who can't work, who am I to judge?

You never know why folks are in the positions they are in. If it bothered me as much as it does folks that complain about it all the time, they should ask these people in line buying the good stuff why. You might get more than you bargained for.
