We waited so long and they put the wrong birth date, what do we do in this case. I read somewhere she needs to file i-90 but on the uscis page it says You are NOT eligible to e-File Form I-90 if: D.Your card was issued with incorrect data due to USCIS administrative error.

we found out at the social security office she was going to file for her ssn. and we received the card yesterday.so what to do sad.png

O Man i just checked the I-485 we sent before we were approved and I had put her DOB(date of birth) wrong on that paper only sad.png o man what to do in this case?? this whole process is so stressful

Since you say that YOU entered the DOB incorrectly on the AOS form I-485 then you need to check 2e and include the appliation fee of $450 and send in the GC along with the application and wait for a new GC to be issued. This is not the USCIS' error so you must pay for a new GC.

The USCIS put the wrong approval date on my wife's card. Made an infoPass appt (220 miles away was the only one available). Explained the situation and they put a 6 month stamp in my wife's passport because in order to get a new card you have to mail in the old one with I-90 and we were told a replacement takes 4-6 months, and closer to 6!

i just completed the i-90 online and paid the 450 fee.

I am mailing copies for proof of birth date:

Her entire passport copy, marraige certificate, birth certificate, her work permit with correct d.o.b that uscis gave her, and a paper stating why i am submitting the i-90.

should i submit a copy of the page on the i-485 where the mistake originated, so they can see or not? thanks alot guys

Jaysongalv, Please let me know if you have any update on your wife case. I am in the same situation (wrong date in I485 application) and would need your assistance and experience.

Hello, after I sent the i-90 with the fees for my mistake, sent a letter to uscis online about my i-90 taking too long begging them to help the process. my wife was sent her corrected green card in the mail after around 6 months.was all too long a wait and she couldn't work during that whole time. It takes a lot of patience and trying g to avoid the fact your waiting because if you Dont its just added stress to your life and your spouse, that's something you Dont need. The worlds not perfect yet so just endure the time and I hope for the best with you, it'll get fixed. Best regards

Thanks for the quick response. I am planning to take an infopass appointment to see if they can stamp the GC on my wife's passport (This will help in her travel and also for jobs). Will send the documents along with original GC and a cover letter/fees through post to USCIS. Still I have couple of questions

1) Did your wife have another biometric after I-90 is filed.

2) Any I-90 RFE?

3) Is there any issue in selecting the Option 2E? as this is not a legal change, this is a correction.

4) what is the address you mailed the documents?

5) did you submit a copy of I-485 application?

Thank you

Just a quick update. I had infopass appointment today. The officer has advised not to send the original GC as the error is not caused by USCIS and also he said that he can't have the I551 stamped on the passport. Sent all the document with I-90 and a copy of GC today. Hope the best.
