Does belonging to a marching band count as a "Foundation, Club, Party, or Society" under Part 9 of the N-400?

Going over the wife's N-400 application, and in Part 9 it asks for a list of "Foundation, Clubs, Society's, or Party's". She was a member of a volunteer marching band in Canada from middle-school till a few months before coming to the US. Does that need to be listed under part 9?

We're trying to figure out of it "counted" for what they're asking about. My read is they're looking for political or activist sort of groups. She left the band 13 years ago, and they disbanded not to long after. We'd forgot all about it.

You're absolutely correct that they're looking for political stuff, but hey, it doesn't matter, I'd just list it anyway.

If they are looking for any type of anti American political organization, sure not asking that question in that manor, says all organizations. So we listed everything like the very anti American United Way, Heart association, Red Cross, etc.

Now would they deport you if they learned you contributed money to these organizations? Good question, but we didn't risk it, just listed all of them. We were strongly advised by our immigration attorney to do this. Only took us a couple of extra minutes.

You know, it could be the skinhead marching band of Canada. When you disclose that it was the local football enthusiast's volunteer marching band they will understand what it's about.

They want to know what groups you associate with, even good ones.

I became a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters once 90 days after I started working at UPS. I didn't choose whether to be a member or not. I did put it anyways just to let the USCIS know about it and I wouldn't worry about it later.
