Yep, I think it's pretty common for it to go untouched for a good couple of months. I also think 14/15 days does not qualify as a 'long period of time' in USCIS terms!! Our NOA1 date is Nov 2nd, and our last touch was Nov 7th. It's perfectly normal - don't worry... you probably won't see any touches at all for a good while yet, and might even find you get your NOA2 without any touches showing up at all - having read through a lot of posts on here, I've seen a few people say that's happened to them.

Good luck, and I hope it all goes quickly & smoothly for you! :)

Agreed - lots of approved petitions went untouched (or only touched once).

Mine was touched once on 11/27 and nothing since. It'll be just fine with me if I hear nothing else until our approval (probably mid February).

Our case was touched for 2 consecutive days after our NOA1 and then again a month later (but it was meaningless). Then we were touched the day of our approval.

Unfortunately touches don't always mean much, or anything.

Good luck. The wait will be over before you know it.

I didn't read through the responses so forgive me if I repeat anything. It is VERY common to go weeks without a touch. It is also common to NEVER receive a touch. My husband's AOS application has not been touched in almost a month. Don't worry about those touches...they don't mean much anyway.

Today marks the 30th day since I sent my I-129F... still no touches :crying: . My friend who also sent their packet on the same day that I mailed mine already got their NOA-2 yesterday :( . We pretty much have the same type of documents coz we helped each other in assembling the packet, we even went together to post office to mail it. :( I guess some of us has to wait for quite a while and some are just lucky..But like I said, all I want for christmas (and my birthday) is a touch

OP: take a look at my signature/timeline and you'll see that some people can go a great span of time without any touches. Me...no touches since I turned in my I-129F in early October.

Kayz: Good luck to you, mate. Hope you get your NOA2 soon. But realize, when you are complaining, that there are other people here not lucky enough to live in the Vermont Service Center region and get theirapproval in two weeks. Some have been waiting 3 months or longer...

The USCIS has a massive filing system. In order for them to keep track of everything they apply barcodes to the file folder. Everytime it is handled, someone must record the bar code so that the file is not misplaced (this still happens but not as much now). The recording of the bar code read is a "touch" It is not uncommon for many touches to happen in the beginning and then nothing for a long period of time (about two months usually).

As you get closer to the expected time frame of completion there is usually a flurry of touches before the notice of approval is sent. Also, if you are sent a "Request for Evidence" (RFE) that will increase the number of touches.

The only touch that really matters is the one you get from your fiance/fiancee.
