07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

He's good! We got him a phone yesterday and he's quite pleased with it.

Feels great that we've been able to easily get back into the swing of things. It's like we weren't ever apart smile.png

That's great news. How long are you two going to be honeymooning, now that you're back together?

The honeymoon is over. Wacko got him a job at the poultry plant as a chicken plucker. He started work this morning :)

So he's working with all those Mexican's down in south Minneapolis off Nicollet Av? He better keep his green card on him, they raid that place pretty regularly.

And I bet you were guessing there wasn't a poultry plant around here?

My wife fell asleep on the Walking Dead last night. So I finished up her laundry, and finished watching the Walking Dead. I got things ready for bed time, vitamins out, coffee pot ready to plug in, dogs with the last walk, kenneled up the foster dog, plugged my wife's phone into her charger, then went to wake her up. Her reaction was to immediately say, "I'm watching TV!", which literally cracked me up.

Well we are headed out to inquire about his ssn number, per his request. Also the dmv and then Menardsssssss. Busy busy.

It does feel weird to not be working. Was trying to sit still watching tv yesterday and couldn't really do it because I kept feeling like I was forgetting to do something...

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

He's already got some building projects in mind?

If you're going to the DMV and run into any issues, the DMV testing station in Arden Hills are really good about understanding the rules for immigrants. This is from personal experience, bring my wife there.
