07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

I figured that you were amidst posting, Dear, and it has happened to me, too, oj tak. I took the calculated risk of infuriating you because you're probably in Asia or somewhere and most likely couldn't give me a chicharron.

The thread title is a play on words, I presume: a combination of "dull" and "ultimatum," oj tak.

Birthday... hmmmm... given that women are their real age through 29 years, and remain 29 until they're 39, and remain 39 until they're centenarians or beyond, how old are you, Dear? Seriously for a fleeting moment (gag, aaack), you're certain to grow even lovelier with each passing year, si ma'am.

CBP agents can be human, sometimes... but it's rare. They're usually in a foul mood and looking to nail somebody. Admittedly, they see a lot of weird stuff. The best of the bunch are (or at least were -- I haven't been, in a while) at the POE at Del Rio, Texas -- a direct reflection of the attitudes and integrity of their Port Director. The second-worst are at IAH airport. The very worst are at the inland checkpoint south of Alpine, Texas. Were I in charge, things would change.
