For the people who got RFE. Please let me know how long does it take for the document to arrive in the mail?

I checked the status online and it shows it was mailed on April 15th, but there is an update on April 18th.

has anyone tried to call customer service and have had any luck finding out what type of evidence they need?

I read that some folks had RFE info by talking to tier 2. It depends on the CSR though. You should get RFE in a week of mailing. Hopefully it is minor and wishing you speedy approval.

From my NOA2 date, you can see it took 17 days for it to arrive at NVC.

I was approved 4/11 and they don't have my case yet. I called the other day and asked. Still too early.

USCIS sometimes updates your I-130 case status to say they have shipped it to the Department of State (NVC). I don't know if mine has arrived yet, I'm calling them tomorrow for an update.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Hello Colombo123

We called up initially and they wouldn't say what was required in the RFE, my husband was away working so when he came back it said they just wanted his passport photo and biographical info, they give you 60 days to get it in. We actually phoned when he was away and they wouldn't disclose what was in the actual letter over the phone!!

When you get the info in they email you straight away to confirm they got it.

I'm still waiting to receive the actual letter to see what type of evidence they need. I called tier 2. They said they don't have the info.

Anyone petitioning for wife/husband and stepchild.

Call the 800 number and press 1,2,2,2. This will let you speak with CS Rep. Ask him to put in a SR for you as you are out of normal processing time frame. Good luck!

They let me put in a service request!! Thank you! I don't understand what the difference is from pressing those numbers or waiting to talk to a CS rep, but this time they actually put in a service request and said I should here something in 15 days! :) I hope they let us know good news instead of and RFE, but I'll take any information I can get!! Fingers crossed!

We decided to put in a service request today. At first the CSR told us to phone back on Monday as it would be outside the processing time then, but my spouse pointed out we were one day away from the 6 month mark and he then agreed to put in a service request hahaha. However as we both live in New Zealand we don't have a US zip code and even the CSR can't put in service request for us. Lucky we had a helpful Tier 1 who has now transferred us to Tier 2. If and when we get through to the Tier 2 will see what happens...

Your RFE was shown on the USCIS website when you entered your receipt number?
