It's nice to see all the helpful advice. I don't have any on the topic, but I do want to wish you luck in finding things that will help you with the symptoms. It sounds really unpleasant :(.

09/23/2009 - date of decision to approve (letter received), just waiting for card. No online updates whatsoever.

What you need to realize is that your body is just that YOUR body and you may not experience some of the symptoms many of us had. Medications work differently for everyone. Just keep a good relationship with your doctor and make sure he/she is very understanding and WANTS to help you if you experience bad symptoms. I worked in an OB/GYN clinic for 3 years and seen some women fly through these operations with minimal side effects. :thumbs: Just keep in tune with your body.

Maybe you could consider to go see a homeopathist- they usually look very closely at you and your body and might help with the symptoms.

Been suffering so much of my endometriosis ,my OB-GYNE Dr.give me some pills to take to stop my monthly cycle but I still have the pain and spotting and there is no way but do the hysterectomy operation, and since the menopause is abrupt Im taking HRT for 2 years now.I do have those mood-swing,feeling depresssed,anxiety and oh boy the hot flashes.grrrr..terrible..!but theres no one who can help me but myself..Im taking my pills relgiously and learned to find ways to overcome the down moments..this visa process add to stress and my anxieties but My Gary been a big help from the day one till now..just keep trying looking for the bright side and keep yourself busy..I have my garden as my outlet and the baby (nephew)we have in my house really keeps my time go by fast! :thumbs: and oh VJ is the best cheap place to learn and entertain yourself!

No hot flashes on my end yet :) i did take the shot on friday and it did take effect immediately like she said, but no hot flashes yet. im not looking forward to them tho, i heard they are the worst part of it. i sometimes feel warm in the face once in awhile but nothing bad :)

Oh you will now when you start getting the hot flashes..... it like someone filling you up with boiling water... there is nothing you can do to get away from it.... I have been known to stand outside on the deck in the middle of the night half naked just trying to get cool.... not a pretty sight..

My mom's been taking soy pills for awhile now, which help with the hot flashes. She hasn't had a severe hot flash since starting those pills. You can get them at Target or Walmart.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Oh Kes your right there..I thought its just me that feel that way..I have to turn my a/c on all day and night and take a cold shower in the middle of the night just to cool off! :(
