NOA 1? Should I be worried?

Ok, I'm trying not to be too impatient here but it's been a week and two days since we sent in the K-1 packet and still no NOA1. What gives? From what I've seen on VJ, most people seem to get their NOA within 2-4 days. I'm probably being paranoid but I'm just so anxious for the NOA1 to arrive so that we can get the REAL waiting started.

Also, how do I check our status? I'm confused about that part.

Got mine after 8 days, you should get yours very very soon

You cannot check your status on USCIS until you have your receipt number. When you receive your receipt number from your NOA1 you can then go to the link below and register.

if you really want to bang your head on a wall, give uscis a call and speak with an IO about it.. that will be loads of fun .. not

basically give it a couple of weeks and don't worry

patience will be your best friend starting today until your other half is here in the states

Thank you. I know, I know, I need to be patient. I AM the beneficiary by the way so I'M the one hoping to get TO my other half in the States very soon. No, I will not be calling USCIS - I don't want that headache unless it's absolutely necessary! I'll just sit tight and wait.

My fiancé get our NOA-1 a week after the I-129F went to USCIS (by email and text). He received hardcopy one around a week after notification by email and text. This is what I've got. I hope it helps and good luck!

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center

for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your

official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number

xxxxxxxxxxx. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may

visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My

Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797

before checking My Case Status.

You're welcome! Try to busy yourself with normal routines. This is not the fastest process and you can go rather nuts waiting. I know it's difficult but just think of things around the house that need to be done before your partners pending arrival.
