Thank you! And yes, we were both living abroad when we filed, so it's possible that helped speed things up.

Although my husband started a new job in the US and moved there early May, and we notified USCIS of his new US address, even though we knew it might result in a longer wait (we figured it was best to be truthful). But it looks like it all worked out in the end.

Fantastic, good luck on the rest of your journey. It will be over soon

We filed the I-130 at the end of March and just received an email notification informing us that it has been approved! I am over the moon! I hope all the other March filers will soon get their good news!

This is really great! You are very lucky to have your form approved! smile.png My husband and I are still waiting for ours. I am new to this forum today. We filed our form on March 4th. It's been 94 days since we filed so hopefully we hear something soon too. I am currently pregnant and we are so anxious to get back to the U.S. to be with my family. It's getting very hard being away from them for so long, but we are doing our best to stay strong. Again, congrats!

Thank you, CHoskins88, and welcome! I haven't been on these forums all that long, but they've been a huge help. There is so much information!

Good luck with your process, I hope you will get approved soon. I can understand being pregnant must add a lot of stress to your situation. We have an eight-month-old son, my husband is currently living alone in the US, and it breaks my heart that we can't all be together. But at least visiting between the US and Canada is quite easy, compared to countries.

And hey, I'm originally from Belgium too! :-)

USCIS:

03/25/2013: I-130 filed from abroad

03/29/2013: NOA1 email received

04/05/2013: NOA1 hard copy received

06/12/2013: NOA2 email received - Approved! (75 days after NOA1)

06/14/2013: NOA2 hard copy received, but mistakenly states that I am already in the US

07/09/2013: Infopass meeting, told file is at NRC, steps taken to retrieve it

07/26/2013: letter from USCIS stating file has been retrieved and sent to NVC

07/30/2013: Infopass meeting, information confirmed

NVC:

07/29/2013: NVC received case, notice sent and received a few days later

08/09/2013: NVC case number assigned

08/11/2013: paid AOS bill (marked as paid 3-4 days after)

08/12/2013: filed DS-261 (electronic version of DS-3032)

08/18/2013: filed I-864 AOS

08/30/2013: paid IV bill (marked as paid 4 days later)

09/04/2013: filed DS-260 (electronic version of DS-230)

09/17/2013: received Checklist

10/09/2013: received Checklist

11/05/2013: received Checklist (argh!!)

12/10/2013: Case complete!

Montreal consulate:

01/13/2014: medical

01/17/2014: interview - Approved!

01/22/2014: Visa issued

01/24/2014: Visa ready for pickup

01/25/2014: POE - Montreal

You're welcome! I have been checking this forum for a while now and decided to finally join smile.png

And yes, it is very stressful, but we are just taking it day by day and hopefully we will get approved soon.

Sorry that you have to be away from your husband. I am staying here in Belgium with my husband 1. because I am pregnant and 2. I am tired of being so far from him! We will stick it out together until everything is said and done...

I saw you were from Belgium too! smile.png How did you end up in Canada? It's good to see that someone else is from the same country as my husband!

I called USCIS this afternoon and inquired about my case and the Tier 2 told me that on June 11, 2013 it is in queue to be assigned to an immigration officer. Anyone knows what does this actually means? Are they going to look at my application soon?

Our priority date is March 6th so maybe we are in the same boat as you! We could only hope!

I would suggest trying to talk to Tier 2 and see where the application is. "In queue to be assigned to an officer", at least this means my application is not just sitting there and collecting dust. At least it will me moved (who knows when) from one place to another or maybe what we all call it a valuable TOUCH.

We'll see what happens...and will keep you posted.

Interesting thing is, on the same day i.e. 11th of June I asked my senators office to look into the case and the same day it was put in a queue? Maybe it was just a coincidence but I would like to think otherwise.

So i call today and Tier 2 tell me that i have to wait 180 days total for the case to be process. Is that true or there just line

I think 180 days is their max magic number so we can not complain before this and if we do then they will say "Did I not just tell you that you have to wait 180 days" and then there would be nothing but a dead silence?

And we get freaked out if we get approved before 180 days. For us, patience is our magic number and that could be any imaginary number.

There are some of us who are:

a. Living with beneficiary abroad, where 180 days might not be a problem and their application gets processed comparatively faster.

b. Living with beneficiary here in US and again 180 days might not be a problem for them.

c. BUT for some of us being separated from the beneficiary (spouse, which is our own choice) 180 days seems too much and it requires a lot of patience and sometimes it runs out and then we hope that every day is our approval day and when that does not happen we get upset and start losing that patience.

I was on Skypee with my wife this afternoon for 1.5 hours and majority of this time I could see nothing but her tears and I know she shed more than 180 drops if I had to count her tears. So, every day is one less drop of tears shed so lets have hope. If there is 180 days we have to wait then we will and soon it will be all over.

hello everybody, am a March filer too with PD March 4, been following this thread for quite a while now. I see that late Feb filers are receiving their NOA2, which is raising my hopes too.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.

8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
