Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 14, 2014
Embassy Review : My husband had his interview for 8.30 am. He got there by 8.00am. The security let him in after showing him the interview letter and passport. He then had to go through security checks and was directed to a counter. An indian officer asked him for his medical. He was given a paper that explained about domestic violence and also the rights of immigrants in the U.S He was then given a token number and was told to wait for the interview.

The American officer asked him if he read the paper that was given to him earlier and if he understood it. After that he told to take the oath and the American Officer asked him the following questions.
Who is calling you?
What is your spouse full name?
How long have you been married?
Where does your spouse work and as what?
Who filed your spouse to got to the U.S?
Was it an arranged or love marriage?
Can you show me your wedding pictures?

Then she said the visa is approved and will be couriered to him. Also told him to pay the green card fee $165 before he travel to the US.
They did not ask for PCC, original documents, tax documents etc. Only asked for wedding album.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
