I-130 MARCH 2013 FILERS!! NBC

i got a letter from my congressmen that was sent by uscis on 13th march , that my case was not assigned to any officer it was just sitting there , and uscis ppl were giving lame excuses for security check.. with infinite date for approval...

USCIS electronic records reflect that on 3-19-13, USCIS

received the Immediate Relative I-130 petition referenced above. USCIS electronic records also reflect that on 11-05-13, the National Benefits Center (NBC) transferred that petition to our office, the Nebraska Service Center (NSC), and that since 11-07-13, that petition has been located at our office.

To date that petition has not been assigned to an officer for adjudication. Please note that at the present time the NSC generally adjudicates an Immediate Relative I-130 petition that was transferred to the NSC from another USCIS Office within 60-90 days of the date that the petition is received at the NSC.

We will make every effort to make a decision on these cases soon. If the applicant does not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within approximately 30 days from the date of this e-mail, please contact us again for an update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank You,

Congressional Liaison Specialist

USCIS-NSC-Congressional Unit

Wow! They are so ridiculous. After a year and no one was assigned to it?...

Please write back to them and tell them that we were told specifically that transferring our cases to a service center would not further delay the adjudication of your case, and that does not appear to be the case. (If you want, I'll send you a link to the press release.)

I'm feeling so hopeless.... I emailed my senator 3 days ago and I have not heard anything back. I contacted USCIS and they told me to keep waiting and then file a complaint if I don't get any answers. Its a year today from the day I filed and nothing has heppened. All I get is the run around and stupid answers.. I don't know what else I can do. :-(

I know how u feel I have only seen my husband 3 times in 15 months and its only for 2 weeks at a time due to work and the trips get really expensive :-( I e-mailed my senator last week but they never answered back and I'm tempted to send them a nasty email... I have also contacted uscis and they keep telling me to wait. After filing 3 requests on my case update since October 2013 I just got an answer stating my case is still under review and it may require longer processing than normal. It has been a year and I think it's all bs! I keep getting the same bs answer which is keep waiting...
