Husband did Medical Yesterday, having shoulder and arm pain

Yesterday my Husband went for medical because interview is next week. Doctors gave injections. Husband's shoulder and arm is paining. How long is injection from pain supposed to last? Husband says his Doctor says "No pain, no gain", but I am concerned because it's been more than 24 hours.

Is this normal? What have been your experiences with this

I think it is. Some people have pretty strong reactions to injections. I would say it should clear within 3 days, from my experience, but I'm not a doctor...

Sept 24, 2013 Packet 4 received (dated September 19)

October 4, 2013 Interview *approved*

October 9, 2013 Passport received

November 12, 2013 POE Los Angeles

When I had an MMR vaccination it stung! I think my arm hurt for the day. With my Tdap it was sore for a week. It's pretty normal.

It's normal to have some pain for a few days. Don't worry. If it gets worse then seek a doctor.

Oh, and actually, what he should to, is to use the arm and move it to reduce the pain. People want to baby the arm and not use it, but that makes it worse. Use the arm! :)

My wife had her medical exam Monday morning, and her arms still are 'stinging' as of 21:00 Wednesday local time.

I know it 'wears down' over time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I had to have my MMRs done before my medical. The first dose left pretty much all my joints in pain for a week. This is apparently normal in adults (particularly women).

Well I'm glad to know he will be ok.

My Husband usually has high tolerance for pain, so when he was complaining about the pain from injections I got worried ....

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
