I got the good news today via email. Finally, got the "case complete" notice from NVC. So now I am wondering, can I go and have the medical exam? or do I have to wait for the next email from them regarding my interview date before I go to St. Lukes? thanks

St. Lukes that means you are interviewing in Philippines. You didn't have to wait for interview letter you can do it ahead but check your countries forum and see what all you need for medical. Go to consular questions.

Since you got email today means case complete was probably 8/30. I will add you to Case Complete list.

Generally speaking, it seems to me, that if the country does DCF (Philippines or UK for example) it seems they are less strict about having an interview letter for the medical. Anyone else notice this?

In Ukraine, once we got our NVC case number we scheduled the medical exam the next day. All we needed was that case number which they can give you over the phone. Every country is different though.
