Just paid my AOS and sent in my DS261. Its such a breather to see things moving so fast (I waited 7 months for NOA2).

Although case complete emails are becoming more common with non-EP cases, it's still not 100%. Plus, if your case was just complete yesterday, it can take quite a few days for you to actually get the email. Could take a week or longer. This is why I always recommend calling as emails can take 1 week or more to receive.

Thanks saylin... i called them 3x yesterday and thos 3 representative they all say case complete as of sept 19 and one of them say that you dont have to do right now until the interview will be schedule and they will notified you and the beneficiary... well time to wait again..hmm not bad lol

My hubby got the mail from NVC with case number in it.

Just wanna ask about next step, he already filed the forms I-864 and DS-3032 .

But when we enter the case number at CEAC webpage we saw that he need to fill the DS-261 form online?

Should he send DS-261 instead of DS 3032

I've paid my AOS fees and it shows as 'IN PROGRESS'. I have been able to print out the barcoded cover-sheet. Is it ok to send in my I864 package right now?

It's up to you. I'd recommend to at least wait until the money clears your bank account. Cause, if NVC receives your package before it clears (due to some kind of error and you have to repay), then it can cause delays. Just my two cents though.

6. Annual Household Income.

This section is used to determine the sponsor's household income. Take your annual individual income from Item Number 5. and enter it on Item Number 6.c.

why should my wife put her annual individual income on item number 6.c and this field is for person (1) in the household who's income should be enter in that item?

Honestly, I've always been baffled by this on the new form as it makes no sense to me.

just curious, I hope Lord may have mercy on us and it may not happen. What happens if Government shuts down after Oct 1? Does NVC still continue to work or it will stop working until the issue is resolved. Does anyone have any insight ?

No idea. You'll have to call up a NVC operator and ask. Do this 5 times (so you can take the majority answer in case they differ). Report back!

Per NVC, you are supposed to send the package when the status shows "Paid". I would print the receipt when it shows "Paid" and include that in the package.
