Thanks so much for your reply. She married me in 2004 but did not get Citizenship until 2011 because she was arrested early on in our marriage for assaulting me. Thus they delayed her citizenship. She moved out 1 year ago and filed divorce. We are still in court.

I recently received the AOM which indicates she was married to a man in PH in 1998. It also lists she was married to me in usa in 2004. The AOM dies not show a remark that she was divorced.

As I have said, get ahold of their NSO Marriage Certificate. If they got an annulment, it would be reflected on their marriage certificate.

Is the first husband a Filipino too?

The AOM should list an annulment too, right?

Sorry, I couldn't edit my previous post.

It seems the CENOMAR/Advisory on Marriages does not reflect the annulment annotation.

I hope someone with more knowledge would contribute in this thread.

OK - well - that's more info.

Thanks for the more info

and I offer my sincere apologies for making sh|te up. I did it 'without heat', but had some vague notion that there was more to the story.

If you are trying to flip the divorce proceedings into an anullment proceeding, this one fact about her being married when she married you and not tell you about it, should be great fodder for the anullment.

If the marriage is anulled because of 'current marriage' - then any other tenets of the divorce (alimony, support, etc) could also be negated. Depends on how competent your attorney is, really.

So, with all that said - what do you want to accomplish?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hank thanks but that site does not allow people ti get other people's marriage records. You have to be the ine that actually got the married in order to receive it.

Oh well... just tossing what bread crumbs I know of ....

To be honest, I think this statement:

I'm on my 4th marriage to a Filipina,,,when they mess up I just go get another,,,not a big deal,,,keeps things fresh

makes this statement not true:

nah,,just a nice guy,,,,,nothing special
