Expediated Request

I need your help....I provided USICS my Expediated reasons...health concerns and financial loss. And tell me to fax my request to where the NBC where my I-130 is. So before I get too excited...the reason I had to expediated this request is because my husband will be having sugery, actually 2 surgery. The expectation for recovery is 3-4 months. At this moment, he have no one to take care of him and he won't be working for that time period and he won't be paid. As I stated on the phone with USICS is that this will be a financial loss for me as I will be travelling back and forth from the US to my husband to take care of him and having to pay for the house and other stuff in the US and where my husband lives. In addition, we have a child, so all of this is not a gain, but a loss for me. If I had him here sooner, he can have good medical care and I wouldn't be travelling that much.

Is that a good reason to expediate or no?

Who is the beneficiary and who is the US citizen?

Are you the US citizen and your husband is the beneficiary? If so, I don't think the expedite will work. If he is the USC, I have doubts but would say there is enough of a chance to give an expedite request a chance.

So will the surgery be in his country or if he came here the US? Is he already on your health insurance? Did you show proof of insurance when you sent in your hardship.

See a hardship case has to be a hardship on the USC not the immigrant.

Hey I just put in an expedite request for my husband last week. I'm the US citizen and he is the beneficiary. I'm have surgery on my ventral hernia in november. We have a son that is almost 2 together so my surgeon wrote a letter stating that I will not be able to care for my son for atleast 4 weeks after the surgery and will need my husband here.

I am the US citizen and he is the beneficiary. So you guys did pointed out a good point. Health Insurance, which he has, so it is not going to work Guess it's now back to the waiting game.
