why most people on here get the i130 approved in 3 months and mine is going to be 6 months and still NOTHING?

So expalin to me how come 70% of yall get their i130 and visas approved in like 3 months and its gunna be 6 months and still nothing for me???

My Family think its all a cover that im actually getting a divorce my 5 year old sleep in tears sayin she lost her father

The USCIS is stating a 12 month wait. Some get approved in 3 months, some go 18 months. It is all over the place.

Change your profile to reflect I-130... it shows Adjustment of Status ( pending)

You can see an estimated time frame if you look at the bottom of your timeline. You are within normal processing times. Yours says September

I would not go so far as to say "most people" or even "70% of people on here" got their NOA2 in 3 months.

Check out Igor's list and you'll see that most people who got their NOA2 recently waited for an average of 6 months.

Those who got approved in 3 months usually received expedited service; whether they have compelling reasons or the USCs are active military.

Timeline after visa approval

Immigrant fee paid on ELIS - Jan 24th

POE - Jan 25th

Update on GC and SSN

(as of March 14th, 2014)

ELIS status - Closed (Card produced)

USCIS case check with receipt number (starts with IOE) - Card delivered in the mail

SSN - Received (Went to SSA location to apply for one)

Those who got approved in 3 months usually received expedited service; whether they have compelling reasons or the USCs are active military.

My lawyer is pretty confident that the USCIS will be on track with that 6 month time frame.... I would believe him if I didn't know about this site... and remember... the VJers are only a speck compared to all the OTHER filers at the USCIS

I'm sorry but this is just not true. I'm only closely monitoring March filers and less than 20% of non-DCF cases have been processed. This is already 5+ months. Same stands for February - even with DCF they have less than 70%.

I'm the beneficiary.

Im sorry but just wonder. Right now I sent I130 for cr1 and first NOA1 arrived on 03 of may.

If I have to wait so long time and it is over 2 years since I got married

So how should I suppose to do?

I got married on 05 of Sep2012

Count on a wait of at least 6 months for the I-130 petition and then another 2-4 months for NVC and then the interview after that.

You do nothing until at least 6 months because there is nothing to do.

Been over 3 months for me..instead of focusing on the wait we choose to focus on what we need to get prepared for the next step. Not a soultion but it helps take the focus from something we have no control over..

My husband and i have an attorney in usa . I live in UK he is USA resident. Our attorney sent out i-130 in in January and took the 6 months to approve, My husband started to ring them up in the last 2 weeks of the 6 months then it got approved.

Just be patient some take longer than others i guess.

We are now at NVC stage and i have my medical booked in for next Wednesday. Praying i will pass that then pass the Interview when i get letter to attend.

we started the whole process in January and are still going strong on ours.

Our attorney has sent in I-864 and also DS-230 this week, so we are hopeing to hear from them for my interview next week maybe.

The wait sucks ive fought so hard to marry my husband now i am separated again cuz we decided to go back to the US... im almost giving up on the "visa journey" cuz all i want is my husband!
